Basically, it argues that child porn should be legal, because if you happen upon a crime scene and film the evidence, you can get charged with a crime. Yeah. Honestly I can't even find the time to reply to all the shit they post to me, I'm bombarded with fucking college essays from these guys on a daily basis now. But yeah, this just proves they clearly don't care about the children. The fact that they get off to the abuse of them is evidence enough.

I skimmed over that article and the guy who wrote it was a dumbass. That Google glass thing is the most fucking stupid hypothetical metaphor I have heard of. First off, if by the wildest chance you happen to catch something like that on film, the police will probably understand if you go to report it and will be thankful that you've presented them with some solid evidence against the perpetrator. That's how fuckin' normal people react.

Even on the internet, some people have the misfortune of occasionally stumbling on child porn- whether they be poking around on certain parts of the deep web to being at the wrong place at the wrong time when some asshole posts child porn on 4chan. While it's unfortunate situation, you can't be arrested just for viewing child porn mere happenstance. You are arrested for it because you possess the FILES on your computer or because you distribute it to others.

On his point with #2- he's conflating nuances of consent laws with child porn. Those are pretty much two separate issues that occasionally overlap (ie. stupid teens sending nudes to each other kind of thing), but to say we must legalize ALL child porn because of some dumb teenagers doing dumb things is on the level of wanting to cut off your entire finger because you got a paper cut on it.
And then he goes on about the meanie-doo-doo head Christians wanting to ban child porn (y'know... like that supposed to be a BAD thing).

Finally #3- No, the war on free speech is not won or lost at child porn. Free speech does not mean completely unregulated speech (aka. the whole can't go into a crowded theater and yell "fire" thing). Even with free speech, there is still a matter of having to have laws to protect people's basic human rights- which include the right for children not to get fucked in the ass by some sick shits. And even if you aren't the one doing the actual raping, promoting and distributing child porn leads to a demand for it- which leads to children being hurt.

Y'know I get the sentiment of not wanting to limit free speech. I really do. Freedom of speech is a great thing and there are many other cases of unwarranted censorship that actually deserve to be fought for. Spend your time on them! Don't waste your time fighting for something as loathsome as child porn! At the most it's not worth it, and at the worst it's downright harmful.

I've seen multiple vids and analysis pieces that strongly indicate that VirPed is little more than an organized defense site for pedophiles, used primarily to legitimize and reduce the chances of blastback of their grooming attempts.

It really makes one wonder how they've survived this long.

See, I'm kinda reminded of Chris Rock's routine on people wanting credit for doing stuff they're supposed to do. You say you're a pedophile and you don't molest kids? What do you want, a cookie? YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO MOLEST KIDS!!!! I'd give you credit if you'd at least attempt to find a way to treat pedophilia, rather than just throwing up your hands and saying, "oh well, it's an orientation, there's no cure, blah blah blah." THIS article sounds better than what they're peddling -- it basically suggests finding actual treatment, rather than just a bunch of dudes hanging out at a website talking about it. Yeah, it mentions VirPed, but it argues against their whole claim that it's just an orientation. I do agree that prevention better than punishment (that's a no-brainer, since it means fewer kids get molested). But the fact that it's an unmonitored support group that encourages people to talk about their fantasies, and even allow discussions of outright grooming, well, no. No. FUCK YOU. Pedophilia is one area where I WILL go all SJW. (Animal abuse is the other)

So, I wasn't aware this thread existed but I recently had a major run-in with these people. I had originally seen the Salon article by Todd Nickerson mentioning this forum, and I wanted to see if they were really 'virtuous', and discovered you have to email them to even get a link to the forum and register an account(took me about 5 days to get a response). So I released a video exposing some of the shady stuff said on the website:

Needless to say, they discovered it and did not like it. The last two days have been them flipping out on their forum and saying I was being unfair. So I offered them a platform to give responses that I will address in a second video, and instead of letting the dialogue continue, a co-founder of the site decided that my ideas were toxic and the notion that the forum should be public is insane so he removed my post. I'm working on responding to the already posted arguments they've sent me, which contain a lot of very poor arguments and stuff that's blatantly false. I'll keep you guys updated if you're interested.

Your computer should be fine, though girlchat is a fucking terrifying place. I'm currently investigating an associate of theirs that I have found out to be grooming a 9 year child over YouTube. They think that 'friendships' with little children are A-Okay(I'm talking as young as four), which even for a normal adult is just damn creepy.

I unfortunately knew one of these types a few years back. She went to great pains to make sure everyone knew about how she was really, truly different because of morals or some shit. She later confided in me about watching so, so much child porn.

I believe this is called 'Bystander Syndrome', and is a recognized psychological state. As I recall, it has something to do with the concept that most people, upon encountering something that is completely abnormal, immediately assume that somebody more capable and responsible than they are has already taken steps to deal with the issue. A similar phenomena happens in a lot of planning & preparation setups; everybody involved assumes that certain issues are so completely obvious to everyone else that they've already been taken care of, leading to them going unaddressed until they become a real problem.
