If anyone has been through the bowels of the Anime Industry like I have for the past few years. You'll come to find some really strange designs that perplexes your sense of logic or appears extremely uncanny.
First Example is Gin'iro Silver by NekoNekoSoft released in 2000. Now the characters look normal for most of the game but sometimes when they do facial expressions. You'll end up with something this.
Second Example is this rather obscure game known as Sengoku If by Rune released in 2002. The eyes look much more larger than normal creating really uncanny facial expressions and you'll find a lot more of these weird images than the first example.
I saved the best for last. The Final Example is a really obscure game called Kohakuiro no Namida released by Ange in 1999. The picture I am providing you is the most normal looking out of all of them in the game CG's. The game itself is also extremely weird like the Art Style. Notice how the eyes are even much larger than the second example.
Now judging by the looks of these pictures. It's any wonder that only one of three games provided in the examples are released for Western Audiences. It's pretty interesting how people literally experimented back in the day to create anime that looks something out of the ordinary.
