It's alright. Story looks like it was written by and for the tumblr crowd and / or people who enjoy looking at characters with that stupid exaggeratedly wide toothy grin, and that just isn't to my taste so nothing more I can say about that.

Also tje beginning was very obviously copying Tales from the Gas Station, and I'm glad it went down a different route in the following parts cause that writing was unironically unbearable to listen to.

So before I dive into it, do I expect it to be the opposite of Tales from the Gas Station? Whereas TgtGS started strong and ended really fucking bad, and this one will start bad and end up really good?
 
I wouldn’t trust Steven King alone in a room with anyone or anything, that nigga is fucking weird and I honestly couldn’t believe Neil Gaiman got metooed before King.

I dunno; an adult male author who keeps an active Tumblr account vs. an elderly male author who makes occasional TDS posts on Twitter. Neil Gaiman's readers are much more volatile and he's stayed in close contact with them.

Sheeit... I'm not gay but he's both more handsome and more masculine than any male actor of the last 20 years. Instead of hiring Pedro Pascal just to have a spic name in the credits they should be giving those roles to Emilio Estevez. He's got an even more spic name AND he's a much better actor to boot.

This was how I felt too. However, I'm not sure if it's Wendi and the team starting to gel, or if it's the strength of the material.

I first encountered the Duntsch case as a series of articles, and it was pure-grade nightmare fuel back then. It's been the subject of a lengthy podcast and a documentary (series?) since. It has something for everyone: murder and true crime, body horror, detective work, legal machinations, a broken system, Texas tort law, cocaine use and a mistress. There's also a lot of Duntsch's writing available--Wendi barely touched it--and verbatim he's nuts.

Covering this is a training mission. I hope they can keep it up.

Alright video but the writers focusing on "Le Capitalism EBIL" is getting annoying, especially when specifying USA as some outlier to shit health services. There's plenty of horror stories in Socialist countries, between Canada telling people to be euthanatized for treatable issues, UK having diversity nurses beheading babies, or the UK in general having mass murder nurses.
 
That voodoo story tanked at the end, but I liked the manority of it a lot. Also think the author getting b& for such a retarded reason is amazing, and it's even better that the guys laughed so hard and made fun of it. You know that's gotta eat at the nosleep fags, but they can't do anything about it without breaking their own dumbass rules.
I wouldn't be surprised if some stories not so subtly depicting the boys being murder-raped crop up. And if that happens, they should read them.

I'm sure the mods are Coping, Seething, and dilating but the general users probably don't care. We'll have to see how they react. I hope they do something stupid like try to ban CC from reading stories from the sub without mod approval, just burn it down in a tard rage.

Nothing kills a story for me faster than the author acknowledging audience feedback. The second he said, “your suggestions about taking to ___” I was hard out. And, I may be biased here, but I think everything from that point on was far weaker than what came before. Same thing about the guy trapped on the ghost ship, but still posting to fucking Reddit. Same thing about the guy who took the drugs that made time last forever, but still managed to type out a million words.
