16 is also not legal in most states. Its covered under Romeo and Juliet laws in most states that protects the older party from statutory rape prosecution when there is a CLOSE age gap (typically 2-4 years) with underaged minors. For example, it protects an 18 year old who is dating a 16 year old.

IT DOES NOT protect a 30 year old who is dating a 16 year old. Trying to defend John K. just because you like his work is just being a parasocial weirdo. Just separate the art from the artist and enjoy the fucking art you freaks.
The people on the Scott Pilgrim threads on 4chan also use similar arguments to justify dating Knives

I recall the actual comic framing it as something pretty fucked up.
...and then the game had multiple jokey(?) endings where Knives ended up with people who were too old for her.
Note that I stopped reading SP by Chapter 4 because everyone was so fucking annoying and I couldn't take it anymore.

Those are an urban legend. There is nothing in the books officially which does this it is up to the judge and traditionally it isn't held up.
No, they are a categorization of laws to protect close aged relations between legal adults and minors should an arrest be made that vary state by state.

For example, California has no such categorization and it is always statutory rape. Texas has a scaled set of this categorization that protects legal adults at age gaps that vary as the minor is closer to legal adult age. There are codified laws on the books where such categorization exists though, saying its an urban legend is just flat out wrong.

I would like a follow up to the 90s Spider-Man cartoon that is about Mayday Parker's Spider-Girl, is that too much to ask?
