They just transfered over a running gag from the original show where Rico had this Barbie like doll he lovingly took care of despite being the crazy one of the group.

True, but it's hard not to see this as more inappropriate when Miss Perky had a normal looking dress and this one has a skin tight body suit with different colors on the crotch and breasts. Even as just a placeholder for concept art they could've drawn an anime scientist or something.

I'd love to see somebody try to whitewash a black character for once. Seriously, like a remake of Princess and the Frog but with Tiana as a blond haired, blue-eyed white woman named Tanya. Or Fat Albert but he's a jolly old Santa Claus-esque white guy and his motley gang of orphan kids. Because you niggers KNOW what the reaction would be. And yet, white people barely even bat an eyelid when shit like this happens. For what? For fear of being called racist?
I am surprised both Fat Albert and Little Bill are still available to view since both shows were created by Bill Cosby. Despite that, they seem to have a bigger impact on black entertainment than the Proud Family reboot.

gum under my shoe has more of a cultural impact than the proud family reboot
Let's be real, the audience of the reboot wasn't even black people, it was just angry white people and cartoon reviewers on youtube
The original came out at a very specific time where Disney still had a healthy line-up for it to mask the blander elements of the show. Take that away and you have the reboot, which...existed, I guess.

it helped that at the time bill cosby was still seen as respectable and makes any appearance of him in said shows look bad now due to now known facts of him not being respectable after all. still liked the proud family though. show was a part of my childhood watching it on disney. reboot was lame tho.

I remember seeing a bunch of pre-internet self-published hip-hop albums uploaded to bandcamp and there was plenty of unauthorized Fat Albert on the covers.
Hell yeah. Don't forget the Kate Ashby and GoAnimate.
Ninja Edit:
Check this fucking shit out immediately. Good fucking times...

Those "Pokeyman" days are over.

yeah I shouldn't have responded to chromeo's post, I suck cocks.
Anyways, Tubi announced 4 more cartoons to the service: Cow and Chicken (in HD), Static Shock, Evil Con Carne, and the 1973 Addams Family series

Ik I'm late to ask but why the 1973 Addams family cartoon and not the 90s one? In 73 the Addams family lost all novelty and no one gave a damn about it anymore. The sonnenfield film was the new life that made modern versions even possible.
What about the scavenger hunt game? Is that included?
Limited run has a habit of that when it comes to their compilations. The ren and stimpy collection contains only nintendos ren and stimpy games but not stimpys invention for sega genesis (seen by some as the one GOOD ren and stimpy game of the 16 bit era) or the game gear games. The nick splat collection only had rockos modern life, guts, and ahhh real monsters. Out of those three games only ahh real monsters was somewhat passable because it wasn't a cryptic mess like rocko or had mutilated controls like guts did.

The recent marvel maximum collection had xmen arcade, two spider-man games, the crossover arcades revenge and for some reason silver surfer, but none of the iconic xmen on sega genesis and gamegear games or capcoms xmen game or war of the gems for snes. So really can you call it the maximum collection even with maximum Carnage being included?

All that aside my guess is scavenger hunt is excluded cause it wasn't developed by the devs of search for reptar and studio tour and getting just the rights to the ps1 games was a hassle in and of itself.

That being said having two ps1 classics on the collection? Not bad still doesn't make up for the other chicanery limited run is guilty of but it's better than nothing.

They could have at least put the original rugrats pilot in the collection as a bonus though, hey fit bubsys pilot in his collection ffs.

Today I learned that Penguins of Madagascar joined the list of stuff that got a stupid revival pitch.

This thing took place in New York, right? At a glance this one really took me out

Also not to be that person tm but ricos barbie doll was supposed to resemble an adult woman while the chick on the body pillow, asuka, is 14?? So definitely a bit more questionable

Yeah, New York. I wanted to include that image but the forum kept getting stuck so thanks for that!

The funny thing is I want to say acknowledging internet stuff was always part of the show because the smallest penguin was a fan of "Lunacorns", a My Little Pony parody that annoys the other penguins with how sickeningly sweet it is, but apparently the episode that started that joke precedes Friendship is Magic and the brony phenomenon and it's a giant coincidence that Penguins had a character mimicking that online frenzy.

Julien (the one in this image) did say "Do a barrel roll" once though so there's that precedent.

Rugrats is getting retro game rereleases, hopefully we may see other Nick shows get this treatment. I can think of a certain Sponge who has some great titles locked on older hardware.

I remember there was some deal with Nickelodeon years ago where THQ would release remasters and new games of Nick IPs.

That didn't amount to much besides BFBB Rehydrated and the various Purple Lamp sequels.

The Spongebob movie game, Jimmy Neutron Attack of the Twonkies, Battle for Volcano Island and Attack of the Toybots are the four games I want to see be remastered.

If they ever do a rehydrate for the Movie game, I hope they animate 3D cutscenes based off the movie instead of still images from the (at the time) unfinished film.
