There's no better way to get rid of leftovers.Made fritata with potatoes, shallots, garlic, and spinach in a cast iron pan to go with steak last night. I used a mexican cheese blend and added a pinch of sugar to the eggs to make them puff up more. Money's getting tight and we're trying to eat better, so we have leftovers of that for dinner tonight.
Yeah, I've been thinking about taking the plunge. Got an Indian supermarket near me so I might try something. Garam Masala is a wonder spice, though.(No pictures, sorry), but I'm really trying to get into cooking my own Indian curries. I've mostly used the in-store simmer sauces I add to a frying pan while cooking meat and chopped veggies. I know this is "cheating", but I've been tweaking and adding things to these grocery store simmer sauces to kick them up a notch (kind of like how some people buy Prego spaghetti sauce and use it as an ingredient for their own sauces). These, along with my new mini rice cooker I've been making some delectable dishes that scratch my curry itch.
I am planning to actually buy curry spice mixes (or even individual spices) and start making my own curries from scratch. Baby steps though...
That's an epic sandwich right there. Wow, that sounds amazing! I'm definitely going to have to try this myself. I love bacon and mushrooms together, so adding eggs and cheese would just make it even better. And Thousand Island dressing is one of my favorite sauces, so I can't imagine how good it would be on a sandwich like this. Thanks for sharing! Joe Rogan is one of my favorite podcasters, and he's always talking about how much he loves bacon (and mushrooms). So I'm sure he would approve of this sandwich.Made a couple nice sandwiches out of bacon that was cooked along some chopped button mushrooms, some sunny side up eggs, muenster cheese, tomatoes, and Thousand Island dressing. For the bread I just used toast.
