Yeah he's definitely past the point where he needs a whole-ass subforum since the people surrounding him aren't nearly as numerous or interesting today and it being a subforum is what contributes to its insular status.

Back in 2017 when the subforum came up you had shit like the SoK trying to gatekeep all Phil content despite lots of them being potential cows themselves, more TIHYDP content since Phil still actually played games without stalling or hours long prestreams, notable mods like BSV getting into shit, the escort saga, Leanna actually having an online presence of her own, way way more retarded fans, etc. Just tons of small side-stories that encompass the greater sphere of Phil's infamy that you just don't see today.

Discussion of Phil's day-to-day antics can easily just stay in the main thread now that he's been over the hill since the bankruptcy. The only reason the main thread accelerated in posts-per-day the way it did in recent years is because post-covid dipshits treated it more like a live-react chat and made it unreadable in the process.

I feel like this notion of the DSP subforum has been exaggerated to a relatively high degree. A lot of times, problems come when people just say that DSP is innocuous and bad at videogames, and then regulars in the DSP board call them "tourists" that don't know any better, because DSP is a scammer and immoral person (because of list I'm not going to repeat).

Then the other tells them that DSP is not worse than a rapist/other lolcows, then the regular tells them that no one was arguing otherwise and that their point is irrelevant, and so it continues.

It's a cycle of misunderstanding, for the most part.

Patently false and just an excuse to try and get the board deleted. My favorite lolcow on the entire site right now is Austin Peterson who smokes crack and gambles. He's a "bad person" in this nebulous deadbeat sense but he's not a pervert, abuser, or whatever nonsense you're trying to paint the entire site as now.

The people who are coyly asking for the board to be deleted have ulterior motives. They want to drive any DSP related discussion to some site they run so they can run it how they want with less prejudice against people losing their shit over nothing and breaking into his bank account.

Yeah exactly. Deleting it outright is terrible since there's tons of fantastic informative posts in the older threads especially back when tons of stuff was happening all at once. Today, he gets like maybe 2 actual happenings per year now in the form of collabs or whatever, and the majority of new threads made there the past two years have been over minor stuff that nobody cares about. And that's not even hyperbole, the DSPReacts thread is the one thread this year that I bothered to remember despite there being at least 5 others.

There has absolutely been a culturual shift on the internet at large away from pointing and laughing at the contents of some autistic's deviant art page to moral fagging about a reprehensible e-celeb's sex scandals. Most of the time that moral fagging is justified by genuinely gross behavior, but it's a very different kind of enjoyment being targeted, with much less mirth and amusment. The trend is stronger off-site, which you can see with the popular off-site cows like DSP or Fatrick having this "I want my lolcow fucking dead" attitude the strongest, but the trend is effecting KF too, with characters like Rekieta or gross tranny pedo number #17-c increasingly becoming the bread and butter of the site.

Bossman is so popular specifically because he's an exception to the trend, just being a silly clown on the internet which is now an undersupported market. I dont know what you can do to encourage more mirth and less spite but it should be a priority to keep KF healthy long term.

One of the things that makes dsp enjoyable as a cow is that he's mostly harmless. He's just a dumb asshole who's bad at everything. You can think he's a piece of shit worth laughing at, without needing him to be the worst human alive. Besides, his thread really isn't that different from other threads for obnoxious assholes. Boogie's thread is multiple posts per page saying he should die.
