I've been wondering that too. A lot of Wings' trolls are notoriously unreliable and all around full blown alogs which makes me assume they're hiding something by not releasing it. But on the other hand the situation with wings' friend is really weird.

At this point I'm assuming its a little bit of everything: the trolls are intentionally hiding/manipulating things, Wings' friend probably told some truth, some lies, all for clout. But then he back tracked and went into damage control mode when Wings started threatening a lolsuit.

And then there's Wings who is probably trying to damage control due to some of what his friend said possibly being true.

It wasn't really necessary to blur Atlas since that baby was on stream once with his sister Taylor (the mom), and Jordie told us who he was. Sabrina is a common troll name in his chat, and of course Wings had to tell his mods that they are impersonating his mother, live on stream. So it wasn't a secret that his mother is named Sabrina Jordan.

The only name I would guess that isn't common knowledge is Gansta Grandma, who I'm guessing is Sara "Jean" based on what the blur looks like. She is deceased.

At least Aaron got those facts correct. However, anyone could have deduced this if they were a long enough viewer.

Someone earlier in this thread summed it up fairly effectively; most of these guys trolling him now don't hate him because of anything he's actually done, but harp on him simply because he's already an "infamous lolcow" and groundwork trolling had long since been established, so they can just waltz in and A-log.

We are on the fifth or sixth generation (the actual number is certainly nowhere near the first) of Wings trolls. People only find out about Wings from troll videos made by trolls inspired by troll videos made by older trolls... etc. Like photocopying the same picture 1,000 times, there's been a propagation of error/retardation in the troll community. It's sort of amazing because it's like people have forgotten why they troll Wings even though Xbottle01 made that "Why we troll WingsofRedemption" video. They're not just fucking with the guy because he rages at games made for children despite being a grown man, they're fucking with the guy because there are other people fucking with the guy.

I agree with Keem here. Aaron got threatened with legal action and backtracked. Wingo would never follow through even if Aaron didn’t retract a single thing. So at this point both look as bad as possible

Just like you pointed out, there are 2 main reasons:

Clout for their channels.

And posting the full interview leaves them with 0 leverage/troll ammunition.

Keep in mind this is the first "successful" troll arc since they imploded on each other with the psn hacking debacle. They are trying to milk this one for all its worth especially now that wings has been having "successful" streams.

The way they're releasing this combined with the fact they'd do absolutely anything to fuck with him makes me believe most of the things in the video are lies or manipulated cuts, everything about it is highly suspect.

I thought the text chat logs were the most suspicious part personally because it was only Aaron's part of the conversation. Nothing showing what prompted him to say what he said. However, he had some personal motive against wings in my opinion due to the name he went into discord with and the fact that he even sought out a troll discord and spoke to the trolls. The whole situation is pure autism.
