Growing up is overrated
http://wizardchan.org/v9k/res/74594.html

I'm 23 now and everyone tells me it's time to grow up. But why would anyone want to grow up?

That just means you have to work a job, which robs you of your time. You'll get money for it, but unless you're in the top 10%, most of that is spent on life's necessities. The few luxuries you can afford, you won't be able to enjoy because you have no time anymore. You can try to find yourself a woman, but that just adds another layer of time and effort you have to invest. In the end, you just race around aimlessly hoping to achieve something you might never even reach - happiness.

Fuck this. I may not be particularly fulfilled right now, but at least I'm not burdened with tons of responsibilities in addition to feeling empty and badgered.
It's part of the "goal" of life that's been spoonfed to most people. Go to school, get a job, work, start a family, buy shit, die. That's what some people seriously want for their whole life, that's fulfilling to them. Sadly this is a majority of the population who then assume everyone must want and live like this. Instead of questioning why they have to live like this, they just accept it and say "That's life" while anyone else will question the need for materialism, the need for all these jobs which serve no purpose other than to justify their own existence (and most of which could be automated).
>But why would anyone want to grow up?
Nobody wants that shit, I think Life is not about how much money you make, how many woman you fuck or how 'mature' you are. Life is about good feels, and how many you can take with you in your Lifespan.

Fuck those normies telling one how to live your life, i'm sitting here, my dick is hanging out and i'm drinking a good beer on a sunday night.
What else could I want?
I don't want to slave away 40 hours per week, I don't want to do things so people like me, I don't want responsibilities, all I want is to numb my brain a bit more and enjoy what I have.

They're all just jealous because we have nothing in the world to care about, we're free and they're trapped.

feels fucking good man
I realized growing up was bullshit when I was 7 or so
I have no interests other that sitting in a recliner and arguing with other autistic people over the internet while listening to my shitty music
The NEETlife is the life for me. I hope I can get there before I kill myself

A life of depression and inevitable suicide is what these people want. I don't think I have to mention not growing up and refusing to get a job doesn't help you get laid easier. Or that individuals need to work in order to further society. Social Security is not designed for lazy people to just mooch off of.

Height actually means nowhere near as much for men as people on wizardchan seem to think it does tbh. I know plenty of short guys that have no problem finding companionship.

Personality plays a huge role in these things. I look at my friend, who for the sake of argument I'll call Herman. He's 5'8", balding, has a gut and a bit of a girly voice. The word that describes him best is "flamboyant". He's totally straight but the first time you meet him you might get a gay vibe off of him.

He's married to an absolutely stunning woman. She's tall, thin, gorgeous and before they had kids was an actress. Nothing famous mind you, nothing more than amateur theatre and a couple of bit parts in movies. Fact is the reason he was able to get her was because he's got personality in spades. We've all been there. You know somebody that might not be your type but they have a great personality and as time goes on they actually become more attractive in your eyes because you're now looking beyond just the surface.

If these wizards attempted to become charming or learn basic social skills then they might find themselves in a better place than just making excuses for why they're not getting any.

Wizards question about whether or not there's any point in trying to change once you pass age 30.

Okay listen guys. No one, and I mean NO ONE gives a flying fuck if you're in your late 20s/early 30s and decide to go back to college/uni. No one. No one thinks, "Oh hey that guy is older, he must be a weird failure awkward virgin man!"

No one cares that you've decided to undertake in higher education at a later age. No one cares if you're a shy person who doesn't talk.

You need to understand this.

Alright, who posted this? That's not something a wizard would say.

Wasn't me, but I can confirm through personal experience that what he said is absolutely true. I'm just now about to finish my BA at 27 (28 this summer) and no one gives a shit that I'm so old.

Then again, I'm normalfag succubus playing life on easy mode so my opinion is :null: and void.

You can potentially get scholarships if you're in your early 30s to mid 30s. My school offers one to people that are over 35.

This, a thousand times. My place doesn't really do scholarships (things are different in Germany) but the general trend exists all the same. There are special programmees designed to be done alongside a job, for example - you can even do graduate school that way (it'll obviously take you way longer than it would if you were doing it full time, but the option's there). I've seen quite a few people around who are in their early 30s, at least. I mean, obviously, don't be 58 and hit on the 19-year-old first semester students, but if one isn't doing that, one will probably be fine.

What bullshit, of course normalfags care. By being old and quite you'll draw attention to yourself for being outside of the status quo. It won't be like in highschool where they'll bully you but they will ostracize you.

Being older, especially if you're notably older, will make it look at though your some sort of failure who never did the college thing when it was acceptable and the nomies will snicker to themselves at you for being outside of their age range. Shy males are always bitterly hated by normalfags, but this is hatred that will mostly come from the female students. They'll look at you as the strange old creep who never says anything and ruins their ideal fun, young college experience.

"Well, that's how I think they'd act. I've haven't really had a meaningful conversation with another human being in the last fifteen years, and I'm basing this all on how I would react to the situation."

Seriously though, I go to community college, and it's full of people of all ages. Like Lonesome said, unless you're hitting on girls that are way too young for you or something like that, nobody really gives a fuck about your age.

Ever since the inception of wizardchan I've felt it was more mature than many other chans and that it was a place of serious discussion, and even good casual discussion.
v9k is for threads like complaining about normalfags because wiz is too "elite" for this and every thread on /b/ dies after 5 posts or is shitposted with dogs and ponies

I like my v9k
I love how this thread derailed into a huge religious debate.

My mother went back to school a few years ago - when she was around 45 - despite already having two degrees - to be a paralegal. Based on her stories, no one gave a shit and I think she was actually decently admired by her classmates for being extremely knowledgeable and studious.

Bann most likely happened to the person who tried to talk some sense into the wizards. It was a valiant yet wasted effort.

>>talk sense

>>wizards

Anyone else see where they went wrong?

Nobody gives a shit about the older students in class. I've seen people in their 50s in my classes, and here's the number of fucks given: zero.

Then again, this isn't the first time wizards have said something that was complete bullshit. Their sense of reality is so, so warped.

Okay, this is awesome. It started as your typical whinging about how 'da wimminz r all so judgmental' then devolved into a huge tardfest between gay and straight wizards.

>When I asked if you're used to being surrounded by girls you flirt with you just came with a half-assed excuse to justify doing nothing

I have tried in the past and all my efforts were in vain. I'm fucking ugly and nothing I can ever do will get me laid, it's that simple.

>Look, if homos have it so easy, why don't you come here and fuck me?

Because I'm not gay you dumb faggot. You don't need other wizards to have sex, all you queers need to do is post an ad on craigslist and you'll have dozens of guys wanting to fuck/date you responding instantly.

Yeah you can be "wizards" I suppose, but homosexuals can only be voluntary celibates. They'll never know what it is to truly be alone. Almost exactly like women.

Oh and one more thing, it's funny but I've actually put up advertisements on craigslist for women, trying to lose my virginity.

Literally the only people who responded to my ad were gay men. That's how fucking easy you guys have it.

Don't ever pretend to be "forever alone" again with me you queer.

Such a lovely community, isn't it?

Would this wizard care to tell me when it's "acceptable" to go to college? If you join the military and are active duty after high school you're going to be in your mid to late 20's when you start college. You may work a job that may or may not have required college and later decide you want to earn a degree and make a career change, which is very common (many career planning experts say the average worker will have 3-5 careers during their life). I had an English comp instructor who didn't go to college until he was in his 30's.

Personally, I wish I would have waited until I was in my mid to late 20's to go to college and would have worked a few years because I had no idea what career I wanted when I graduated from high school and just went to college because I thought it was expected.

If you asked that question to ten wizards, one of them would say immediately after high school or the normies would judge you, two would complain about how normalfags have ruined college by making it all about girls and parties, one would go on a rant about how college is all a Jew scam, one would accuse you of being a normie infiltrator, one would blame his parents for not paying his way through college, one would talk about how he failed out of college because he had bad genes, and the last three would all vomit up stories about how horrible college was for their feels.

God, it's like a lightbulb joke.

How many wizards does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
