This site is a strange mixture of sadness and hilarity. People who sit and their room and do nothing but furiously wank to purple-haired anime chicks having a steamy hot rendez-vous with Squidward, these people disgust me.

If you are going to sit on your room you might as well do something useful with your time. My neigbors have a son who hardly ever left his room for many years. Then one day I talked to his father, the old man's a really cheerful alcoholic and he was in a good mood apparantly. Singing and laughing and shit. So I asked him why he was so happy and he said his son just finished his second(!) university degree. He also wrote nine books on Russian history and railroads during his years as a shut-in. Had his own website too from which he generated income, and built websites for others.

Last year they offered him a job as a researcher at the university, and he took the opportunity, stepping outside more and more. Now he's making money, and getting out. Working on overcoming the social anxiety I'm pretty sure he suffered, and still suffers, from. All this took him about six years I believe and he barely left his room. Compare that to these whiny bitches and I am genuinely appalled by their attitude. They eat, sit, shit and cry themselves to sleep late at night over the injustice of "normalfags" getting laid when they cannot, hugging bodypillows wet with their angstly tears. Meanwhile the other guy worked his butt off, spent his time productively and overcame his trouble. Why? Because he wanted to change, accepted the help offered to him and did not shift the blame on others.

Even if he didn't end up dying, if he was telling the truth about how he was too anxious to call for help, that's just... really sad.

And I don't mean pathetic sad (though it is also that, to an extent), I mean actually depressingly sad. I was nearly like that once... I mean, probably not to such an extent - I probably would have been able to ask for help/call 911 if I felt I was in mortal danger - but I was cripplingly socially anxious. Like, I would fail tests in school not because I didn't know the answers, but because I would need to sharpen my pencil, and I was too scared to get up and walk across the room to the sharpener because then all my classmates would take notice of me.

So on that note, I can kind of sympathize with the people on this imageboard... to an extent. It's the fact that they don't seek the help they need - that they actively discourage said help - that's truly despicable.
