Sony hate thread

Even Sonic Mega Collection had audio issues compared to the perfect emulation of the other two versions.
Wasnt it also the opposite for ps2 titles that got ported to the gamecube and XBOX the two matrix games on the ps2 played fine compared to the absolute mess that was the gc and XBOX ports, true crime streets of NY on XBOX had one of the final missons softlock on you due to a bug where one of the crates that's needed to defeat the final boss being straight up missing in the XBOX Port.

a lot of the signs are in English. Why's that?

I still remember how much Skyrim ran like fucking dogshit on the PS3 and it ran smooth as butter on the 360.
All Bethesda games did. Fallout 3 GOTY was outright broken. I ended up trading it in and buying a used copy when I got a 360.

Say what you will, but if you release a game for a system and charge full price, it should fucking work, not crash every 15 minutes. Bethesda knowingly released broken games.

I saw the first PSV for sale in person today. It wasn't just one but there were at least three PSV I saw at a pawn shop with the boxes. I am guessing the market is now saturated with enough machines that no one is buying from scalpers now and it got dumped by one, PSV is not interesting and easier to sell, or economy is bad that people are selling for money. I am hoping the scalpers can't sell them anymore.

I've seen them in stores over the past few months, I guess the shortage finally ended.

Ironically, I'm not seeing any Xbox Series Xs now.

No one is interested in getting a PS5 anymore.

It's over, too little, too late, it's the false start generation, nobody cares anymore about the PS5, people have moved on to either PC or Xbox, I have basically decided I don't care to get one, not unless it becomes dirt cheap maybe.

If something gets a port maybe I'll try it, if not I don't care, all it took was one look at the Horizon DLC with these two unattractive broads with ugly, stupid haircuts kissing each other to finally know beyond a shadow of a doubt Sony is dead, these are characters purposely, exactingly designed to be as unappealing to me as a possible, they don't want me playing this game, so fuck them, I won't waste my time or money.

Uncharted 4 feels like a big last hurrah for what Sony used to be, I like God of War 2018 ok but they've fucked up that series too since, Ghosts of Tsushima might be the send off but I haven't played it yet, but Sony is dead now.

I was a massive fan of PlayStation and Sony's first party games going all the way back to 1998 and now they've just completely left me behind, the very thought of a PS5 would have sounded like absurd sci fi shit to 1998 me, the coolest thing, now I think it's a piece of shit I don't want, fuck you Sony.

I'm actually glad the Order 1886 never got a continuation because it would have gone Woke too, instead we're left with an open but interesting ending instead of embarrassing bullshit like two ugly lesbians kissing, hopefully the PS5 is the last one or Sony is forced to go unWoke, but for now, fuck Sony.

Play Tsushima, it's quite good and not a waste of your time.

The Silent Hill Collection for the PS3/XBOX 360 is one of those things that I sometimes get curious about, while also wondering why this came out in the first place. As someone that knew of the famous horror game series but was too young to play it due to the mature and horror themes (save for the “M” rating — I was not that edgy yet), I want someone to tell me what was it like when you found out that this collection came out almost a decade ago.

For a new player like myself, I actually wanted to get it now since it’s almost $30 today. Though, I could also do that McBoot Jailbreak and find a ROM to play it.

If anything, I’ll probably have to do the same thing with the original PS1 game. It’s far too expensive for my wallet.

They should've tried remake the first one rather than go for the golden goose everybody loves. I understand it seems like that smart business decision, but if you're going to give it to a third party anyway (Bloober team at that), why not do it to the one (SH1) that could use an update, and not the one where if its shit everyone will smell it and avoid it. why risk the remake with a third party? that has historical never worked well for this series.
Black people I think?
because the ps5 looks like Jordans, or at least a singular Jordan, Thats why they're bu(stealing)ying 2 of them.
I know a lot of people shit on Bethesda but Fallout and Elder Scrolls are massively popular so future entries in those franchises not being on Sony consoles is a planet sized L. CDPR is also allegedly considering making mostly PC exclusive titles in the future too.
I know I have my wishing hat on but I hope microsoft being there makes them actaully innovate and make the games better and not bug ritten mess at launch. But again wishing hat on.

Uncharted 4 was the worst game of the series.
I've heard that Ghost of Tsushima is pretty good but I'm not going to buy a PS5 just for that game. I will wait for the PC version.

I think they should have made a sequel but as a 4-player game (also playable solo) like a Sony version of Gears of War.

Ryan the resident autist gives his thoughts on the Horizon series:
Ryan said:
I’m sure they’re fine. They sound fun. They look fun. But there’s also this weird vibe where they are maybe the most “Here is a shrine we built to spending a lot of money.” There’s this sense that Horizon games kind of “fake” being important. They fall in to a specific archetype of open world game but never really set any standards or really evolve the genre or have much lasting impact beyond the standard six month release window.

Like, I’m still seeing people sharing Breath of the Wild videos of crazy things they pull off in that game. They never stopped. That game came out in 2017 and regardless of how close or far away the sequel was, people have always been buzzing about Breath of the Wild. Same might be true for Elden Ring. That game’s over a year old and people are still doing weird things with it. It still has a presence. I mean, heck, people are still doing wild things in GTA5, and that game is like a decade old!

Neither of the two Horizon games have that kind of presence. They came out, the mainstream said “yea that’s good” and then moved on. Nobody in my purview is like “yeah guys I really love Horizon Zero Dawn so let’s start a weird gimmick run where I try something new.” Which is fine. Games don’t always have to shake the pillars of heaven. You can just be a regular old “ good game” and that’s okay. But Aloy gets treated like this big important ambassador of a titanic Sony game franchise. I remember when Fortnite started doing game crossovers, we got Master Chief, Kratos, Lara Croft, Ryu and Chun-li, and then the next big character was… Aloy.

Who, at the time, only had one game to her name. And Fortnite was putting her in the “Gaming Legends” series next to people with decades of success behind them. And now, y'know, there’s a Genshin Impact crossover, there’s all this merch, and she’s on the cover of Vanity Fair… and it’s like, really? For Horizon? The robot dinosaur game? Like I said, I’m sure they’re good games. I’m not doubting that. But they’re not industry defining. They’re not really risk taking. But they’re being treated that way, when I have a hard time seeing Horizon being this timeless, eternal franchise with much staying power past, say, a third game.

It’d be like if Fortnite added, I dunno, Cole from inFamous as a “gaming legend.” Like, in 2023, you’re like “Who? Why?” Horizon’s popularity feels forced to some degree just because they throw a lot of money at it, but if it wasn’t for that, it wouldn’t get nearly as much hype or merchandise. And it’s weird to realize that. I have no immediate desire to play either of them.

Tsushima plays perfectly fine on PS4 if you have one. I've finished it twice with zero issues.

Microsoft will throw a lot more money at these projects, but we'll see how the devs use those resources. Positive is it doesn't look like Xbox management themselves are pushing any woke stuff on the devs. Negative is I have no idea how QA works there, with how buggy and broken stuff like Halo Infinite can release in. If Hi-Fi Rush, Minecraft Legends, Redfall and Grounded are any indication, it looks like they'll at least take a step back and let the devs create whatever random idea they have... Or let them embarrass themselves like 343i have.
