I don’t believe this. How can MN hand custody back when the criminal charges from the same incident that CPS used to remove the children are still pending? Where I was there was no way in Hell you could return custody while a trial was pending on felony drug charges. I cannot believe whatever agency they’ve got there would overlook that.

Eventually, yes. But you’re missing the “felony drug charges pending”. Why give custody back when you don’t know if Mom, Dad, or both are going to be there after trial? And there is still a hot cocaine test result from a kid in the same household with two people charged with felony cocaine possession to deal with. In my day, if a kid came in with a hot test for coke and parents facing felony coke charges, the agency went medieval on their ass. Maybe I’m just old.
 
In regard to the video copy/version defense, I think he has the totally valid concerns that Rittenhouse's defense had rattling around in his head.

He should understand this, and I think he would have without being drug-addled and coping, but there is a huge difference between the effect of compression on a few pixels of rifle barrel at crap resolution in regard to which direction that barrel is pointing, and your big fat head of millions of pixels being zonked out on stream for hours.

It's not its being a digital copy per se that would call it into question.

Unless you have some real evidence of video or audio manipulation then this argument was massively dumb from the beginning.
