Alright ladies and gentlemen. Sit back, relax and grab yourselves a nice bowl of popcorn and a steaming cup of delicious Ovaltine because we are heading into an unprecedented year of begging that we haven't seen for a few years. This year may end up being one of the worst years for DSP both financially and professionally. I'm here to explain why since I haven't seen anyone mention it in detail yet.

With Twitch removing DSP from the Partner program, Phil no longer has a "fixed" or "stable" amount of income flowing into his bank account each mid-month. With all the sub gifting the past year, he was generally sitting at 700-900 subs per month. For the sake of simplicity, I will say 800 subs at $2.50 a pop (there is speculation that he received a bigger cut since he was a Twitch partner. Some say $3.00 or even $3.50 per sub, but I'll go with the more conservative number of $2.50 for now), which equals $2,000 per month in sub revenue. Cheering day-to-day varied greatly, so let's just assume he averaged 2,000 bits per day, which is $20 per day in cheers alone. 30 days per month puts his average revenue from cheering at $600 per month. I have no idea how much a Twitch partner would make from ad revenue in any given month since it varies so much with viewership and seasons (think Christmas time), but I'd assume it would be much less than subscribers and cheering. For the sake of simplicity, I will go with $400 per month in Twitch ad revenue. This puts Phil's Twitch partnership revenue at an even $3,000 per month. I am going with a very conservative number to prove how fucked he is financially even at these levels. He is even more fucked if my estimates are much lower than what he actually made month-to-month.

So now Phil has to recuperate about $3,000 per month in revenue. $3,000 divided by 30 days per month equals to $100 per day. Essentially, Phil has to make at least an extra $100 in tips per day to make as much money as he did as a partner. This is "only" an extra $50 in tips on average per stream that he needs to make up. Now the question we all have to ask: Is this achievable by Phil? In the short-term as we have seen on a few streams thus far, most definitely yes. Right now he is expecting an extra $100 per stream ($200 per day) in tips, which suggests he knows he is fucked in the long-term, which is why he is asking for nearly double my estimate up front.

Let's assume Phil makes exactly $150 in tips each stream. At 12 streams per week, this puts his tips revenue at $1,800 per week. 52 weeks in a year equals "only" $93,600 in pre-tax income for Phil. Assuming exactly $200 in tips each stream bumps that number up to a "paltry" $124,800 in pre-tax income, which is what Phil is actually expecting his viewers to give him for streaming.

This leads to two very big problems for Phil:

1)
Can Phil's current whales keep up that level support over the year? Also, are they even willing to? At this point, Phil probably only has whales numbering in the single-digits left. Some say as low as 3 or 4. I say he maybe has 9 hardcore big time pig time whales left at his disposal. Outside of the more public facing whales like OIC and Jaxx, I'm sure there are still mod(s) and/or longtime YT viewer(s) that give him behind the scenes contributions that we will never know about. With Phil lashing out and recently banning a lot of his more ironic and trollish contributors and viewers such as major_riot, pwdubz, rattybag, etc., things start to look even more grim for Phil. Not only do the whales have to make up for the missing Twitch partner income, they will also inevitably have to make up for the loss of income from the mini-whales that inevitably leave or step out of line like major_riot and end up banned by Phil. For the sake of simplicity, let's assume Phil received $20 per stream from his ironic viewers, the whales will now have to make up this extra lost money. Keep in mind, they were already contributing anywhere from 50% to 90% of the tips goal per stream. Now, they are going to have to contribute much more.

Let's assume Phil has 10 whales left. On average, each one would have to tip $20 per stream in order to reach the arbitrary $200 tips goal per stream. At 2 streams per day, they will have to tip $40 per day. 6 days of streaming per week equals $240 for each whale weekly. A 30-day month equals $600 for each whale. My question is: Can and are the whales willing to support their master this much. I guess only time will tell. All it takes is for one or two whales to wash up and the burden becomes heavier for the others. If one whales leaves and stops contributing, the other whales will have to contribute about 11% more each month to reach the same $ amount in tips. Whales leaving leads up to problem 2 for Phil, and it's a very big problem if it were to occur again.

2) CHARGEBACKS
For those who don't know how charging back on PayPal works, I will inform you. Buyers may take action by opening a dispute through PayPal or by asking their credit card issuer to make a clarification and reverse the charge (credit card companies call this a “chargeback”). Disputes and chargebacks have the same net effect – a hold is placed on the sale’s funds – but their resolution processes are slightly different. PayPal does not initiate or handle chargebacks – the buyer's credit card issuer does. So that process follows the issuer’s policies. PayPal also does not judge the validity of a chargeback; that’s the responsibility of the card issuer. PayPal's role is to simply collect information about the transaction and help you work with the card company to resolve the chargeback. There are a few general timeframes you should be familiar with:

- Buyers can file chargebacks 180 days or more after an order’s been placed.
- If you receive a chargeback, you’ll have 10 days to answer it.
- Chargebacks are usually resolved in a few weeks, but they can take 75 days or more in some instances.

1) The buyer requests a chargeback from their credit card company.
2) The credit card company notifies our merchant bank and withdraws the funds from PayPal.
3) PayPal places a hold on your (the seller’s) funds related to the chargeback.
4) PayPal immediately notifies you via email and requests information that could help to dispute the chargeback.

Note: This is from PayPal's official site and contradicts many things Phil has said over the years regarding chargebacks, but that's not the point of this post.

Example: Now, let's say one of Phil's whale decides that they are finally fed up with his shit and decide to leave. Instead of leaving peacefully though, they end up charging back $1,000 that they tipped over 3 months. This would immediately place a hold of $1,000 on Phil's PayPal account. Knowing Phil, he doesn't have $1,000 in his account to cover this hold since the money he receives is gone the same night he receives it for "bills". Depending on how much money is in his account, the amount that he "owes" PayPal is anywhere from $1 (if he had $999 in his PayPal account) to $1,000 (if he had $0 in his PayPal account, which is probably more likely than not).

For the sake of simplicity, I will go with $500. Essentially, Phil has a negative balance in his PayPal account of $500. When you have a negative balance in your PayPal account, PayPal wants you to resolve it immediately, or they will attempt to resolve it themselves by withdrawing money from your primary source in PayPal whether it be a linked checking account, debit card, etc. Phil would have to deposit money into his PayPal account immediately to cover this balance. Also knowing Phil, his checking account through his actual bank is most likely near empty. If PayPal draws from his bank account to cover the negative balance, it would most likely overdraw Phil's checking account, which leads to another negative balance and overdraft fees of $10-$40 per EACH transaction depending on his bank. PayPal also does not allow you to unlink any primary sources such as a checking account, debit card, etc. when you have a negative PayPal balance, so those overdraft fees can start to pile up for Phil.

With Twitch revoking Phil's partnership, Phil's primary source of income (I'd say at least 90%) has become tips via PayPal. Phil literally cannot afford to receive chargebacks of the same caliber as he claims he received last Fall or he is doomed. I have more to say regarding this matter, but this post is already long enough. I will take the time this weekend to formulate more cohesive thoughts and ideas that link everything together.

Even if Twitch reinstates his partnership tomorrow and attaches a nice $10k dollar tip as an apology for :stress: and Khet's tears, yesterday's night stream made it all worth it. It was pure, unadulterated, AUTHENTIC ITAHLIEN Phil. Mask off, no need to pretend that he cares about vests, jeans, gunner glasses, cowboy hats, it's all just a bunch of "stupid shit". No need to care about the idiots in chat anymore now that they can't send bitch ears. Those who won't switch from bitch ears to tipping on Paypal get berated, mocked, shittalked, humiliated. The struggle session Major Riot had to endure was something else, even Mao would think that Dave and the retard mod brigade took things too far with it :story:

This is just a taste of things to come. The radioactive toxicity is going to ramp up to extreme levels. I think he's gonna lose his mind when his Twitch paychecks don't come in anymore because like aludda peepol here I believe he used them to "budget". Namely, he'd use tips for gin'n'gacha and eating out at restaurants or ordering takeout and he could afford to do so because he used his Twitch paycheck, which is a more stable source of income judging by money he made from bitch ears and subs in the past, to pay for any actual bills he'd need to pay and then blow anything left over on gin'n'gacha.

I don't think this will be the thing that ends Phil though, cockroaches are hard to kill after all, but he will be much worse off. It's like if someone frequently got himself into situations where he should die, but survived. However, every time he survived he lost a limb or eye or ear or similar body part. After a dozen of these occurrences you'd swear he's unkillable, but on the flipside his quality of life gets severely reduced every time he survives things he shouldn't. The same will happen to Phil again with the Departnered Saga.

the detractor videos might actually start to get entertaining again.

The problem with staying on twitch is his channel will forever be locked out of progressing. There can't be positive growth if there is nothing for the channel to grow into. So whats the point of supporting the channel? Hanging out there? People can make discords for that thing, there probably is some discords with fans that get shared around whispers. Eventually chatters will just fade away into the ether.

People have said about Phil going on YouTube but youtube moderations kinda bad, you need to have an audience that aren't actively trying to troll you at every step.

He'd probably make a killing if he turned on tts superchats though.

I'm kinda hopeful for a DLive exclusivity deal. He already had some crossfire with wings trolls on twitch lets see how he handles crossover from Ethan Ralph streams, its also the perfect site for his non-gaming content he can call it the Philstream (not to be confused with the pillstream)

how much would phil take of guranteed cash, to be convinced to go on the ralph retort off the script? if he keeps losing money, eventually he might consider it.

There hasn't been positive growth in half a decade. He doesn't need channel progression, he needs his 5-6 whales and that is it. He could literally be streaming to 10 people and as long as half of them hit the tip goal for him he wouldn't bat an eye.

If only someone could have warned him.
Say some sort of massive group of people with YT channels and a forum, that Phil rants about every day.
I wonder what else these people might be right about?
Even without those information outlets, he has seen it done in front of him multiple times since he's been there. Why would he think he's different? Especially when he's one of the Fiddy BitCh rant targets.

Wow, I watched the restream of last night’s stream and good lord, Phil is off the deep end for sure.
Banning people because they refuse to tip? Personally, singling out a user because they used to cheer and publicly berating them because for personal reasons they will not tip? This shows how scared, paranoid, and small minded Phil is. What benefit does this bring to Phil banning these viewers? Phil literally reduces his options to get money daily and it is hilarious. I love it!

Definately banned.

Only $141 tonight? Will he be able to feed his family this weekend? Fuck, man. Khet better wipe the tears and start prepping the peanut butter sandwiches and sugar water for tomorrow's dinner. Times are lookin rough.
Over half from one person. They don't have the collective coin he's looking for. Never have.
What a scam; people PAID to see the vest.
That'snot how you run a business. People pay to give Phail money.
First rule of Business Phailosophy 101: Cost - no, Profits - high
Wow, day 2 and already the tips goals isn't being hit, even with a $75 tip. Phil was getting $100 pretty consistently so it'll be interesting to see if the paypigs' wallets tighten as their lord demands double the amount from now on...
He was struggling to get the same 2 or 3 pigs to do even that though. The rest of the chairs do not have the funds to do this.

The same will happen to Phil again with the Departnered Saga.

I still think the biggest question mark in all this the gacha addiction. In theory, Phil is fine. He could even work out a new system similar to the old one where he assigns earnings from one stream (likely the day stream since historically it's the higher paying one) to gacha and the other to bills. It'd be fairly simple to set up, easy to understand, and would probably keep his spending habits approximately the same, if slightly reduced. Heck, he might even accidentally start saving money.

Unfortunately, addiction doesn't work like that. The monkey doesn't stop shrieking just because you can't pay him- if anything, it makes it worse. He might be fine for a few days with the hard stress of a potential financial crises forcing him to pay more attention, but eventually, the cravings are going to start and it's going to be "One pull, just one more pull and I'll feel better." Suddenly, the bank account is empty again and he doesn't know how it happened. Financial trouble continues to build, stress mounts, "One more pull and then I'll be relaxed enough to sleep", rinse, repeat.

And we still don't know how deep this really goes. Based on the money tracking of the various esteemed autists on this site, it seems likely that he's spending money on something else beyond WWEC. Could be another mobile game (or games), online blackjack, sports gambling (fun fact- you can bet on actual WWE fight results), stock market speculation (he has angrily referred to this as gambling before) or something else entirely.

The celebration of Phil's demise is definitely premature, but this could actually be huge problem for him, far more than the raw numbers indicate. It's going to force him to maintain some self control, to budget, to keep his addiction in line after it's been running riot on his life for years. And beating addiction is hard, really hard. Typically it involves getting back into things you loved before the addiction took your life away- mentally and physically stimulating hobbies, activities that take you away from problem locations, socializing with friends not associated with the addiction, tracking relapses and learning what causes them, even simple things like a balanced diet and basic exercise. Phil is in the worst possible position for someone with this kind of problem- he's totally and completely alone.

He was pretty open about saying that he knew people we're using stolen credit cards to tip him who's to say phil didn't keep the money and the people whose credit cards they were didn't report him to twitch resulting in the ban.
The payment processor would have reversed the transaction if they were stolen. Twitch would have nothing to do with it.

The nosedive in quality on these streams truly has to be seen to be believed.

Doubling up the begging is already a bitter pill for the paypigs to swallow. Phil has literally beefed up the troll's ownage resistance by 100%. It's now twice as difficult to own the trolls. But don't worry, at least you have the warm fuzzy feeling of helping out a guy who needs it and deserves it. By the cool price of 400 bucks a day. Shit's getting pretty ridiculous. This is absolutely NOT the bare minimum ANY PERSON needs to just make ends meet. List of undeniably cooler shit you can buy with a daily tips goal:
-Food for a time range between month and a half and FIVE MONTHS depending on Spartan lifestyle.
-The month's entire rent on a modest apartment.
-A used motorbike.
-A brand new console.
-A reconditioned pc fit to run the newest games on mid or lower settings.
-A brand new phone.
-A skydiving weekend for two.
-A no holes barred, no protection unless you want it all night session with a fairly hot hooker.
-Quite a range of sturdy, dependable budget handguns that aren't amazing but get the job done.
-A literal horse.

So unless Phil acquires and consumes a literal horse down to the hooves every single day, or mating with Kat leaves them so exhausted the only reasonable stop afterwards is the glue factory, 400 a day is VERY far removed from what is reasonable for a guy who really needs your help and support. The deal was never that Phil wanted to be rich. He just wanted to keep what he had and live within normal means. Yeah, not staring at the wall for entertainment, but really, how many Champions does one man need, and how many should a good paypig foot the bill for?

At the same time, Phil's open contempt for the wheelchairs seems more than a little callous. Obvious emotional manipulation: "Don't ever feel bad if you can't contribute!" "If you can, please contribute." Read: If you can contribute, are watching, and choose not to contribute, feel bad. Gaslighting: "Paypal gives out no information, they'd be facing millions in lawsuits if they did, if you're so paranoid you need to seek help!" Read: I CAN and WILL dox you, but only if you try to chargeback/are a troll/my gacha pulls got me moody that day. Blatant scamming: "I will wear two vests if we hit 200, yeah. That hasn't changed." -200 tip is met, chat wants double vest- "Uh, chat is talking about nahnsense. I'm just gonna go ahead and ignore it." Bold faced lying: "Yeah, normally I would run a poll to decide the vest, but it's impossible now, right? There's no way! So I'll just pick a vest." -Chat is exploding, strawpoll strawpoll strawpoll strawpoll. Phil leans in, reads, ignores. Chat says plat plat plat. Phil comes back with light vest.- For a guy who recently spouted the line "The stream was you! The support was you! The community was you and Twitch merely provided the way to interact! We will beat this if you BUY IN!" He sure as fuck turned quick on them.

Keep in mind, reneguing on rewards IS 100% grounds for an easy win chargeback. Phil didn't even want to track tips any more, only agreeing to it after a lot of pestering by the paypigs. So for 200 dollars per stream, you get to make a thoroughly unlikable asshole who openly hates you rich. He owes you nothing for it, and if he had it his way he wouldn't even give any credit. He plays the games he wants to play, in the way he wants to play them. There is no reward unless he feels like it, even if he promised. There is no community since everyone is on thin ice by default.

This is literally just a Wings stream now minus the redeeming qualities, and I gotta say I love it. Can't wait to see Punished Phil, Sucker Swagginz and Gutted Goken get absolutely overwhelmed with troll activity when they're forced to youtube. This ride is gonna be good. Phil had been stagnating as a content creator for a good long while, but kicking his own semi supportive community out now, if he's forced to move to yt, it's gonna be a 9/10 trolls to real fans ratio. If that happens, anyone who donates is gonna get absolutely humilliated in his chat at the drop of a dime. The nicest thing they'll call them is a retarded simp. And honestly, I don't think even OIC is THAT deep into his findom/humilliation fetish.

im watching the late stream and i noticed top tipper name is back. im guessing people were upset about their names not being shown. guess only people like OIC wanted anonymity
He had to after reading about what a bad idea it was here.

Does anyone here still watch TIHYDPs? It's weird to think about how the detractor community started off due to them, but nowadays Phil's show of horrors is a much more interesting attraction than his shitty gameplay.

one thought i've had is that now that he isn't a partner anymore, he won't be immune to reports for being a toxic piece of garbage on stream, so as soon as he has too big a pig tantrum he's gone from twitch forever
