I didn't watch live, have only seen recaps. But I honestly think Sam saw it as an opportunity for bits and a way to point and laugh at the retards. Yes it's those things, but it's not ONLY that. It feels like right now they're more seeing it as a long term show, wanting to implement more strategy or at least understanding of how things can change and progress, not just random bullshit.
 
Man the revisionist history is insane. Every season the first week would be pretty decent. Sam not being there isn't the reason this is fun, it's because we just got started so the wiggers aren't burned out and are running on full power, and the contestants haven't gotten demoralized yet LIKE EVERY SEASON BEFORE THIS.
I'm expecting the IS SO OVER to hit around week two and I'm looking forward to the seeth. Idk how you all think suddenly Sam isn't there and the wiggers are somehow fully competent.

Jet talking to James Drake about how much he knows about Fishtank. James says that when he got the email for S3, yes, he saw the name and looked it up. He watched some clips from S1 and S2, but he doesn't spend much time on the internet and so didn't really see all that much. He had a vague idea but he is too busy with his work to really watch the show in depth.

Ben was apparently the big champion for James, and really, really wanted him on the show. Jet has ultimate call on who gets on the show, but he took Ben's advice and brought him on for S5.

He explains that Charity was also a non-fan and obviously she bailed really early. Jet is impressed that James has made it this far and how many fans he has at this point. He's performing way better than most of the gimmick non-fans.
