If only the jeetbot were in the pic this would be the best.

Seems like sam wanted it to be episodic with production trying to hype everyone up for when he shows up, etc.
Sam definitely understood his role as host when it came to introducing challenges in a way that Bam does not. Its really clear when you watch the Season 2 episodes how he made each challenge introduction a stand-alone set piece that would make editing easier later on, the Swamp Magic on Summer is another thing I just can't see Bam ever pulling off. Bam seems better at day-to-day maintenance of the fish's emotional states because he watches the show elsewhere and hangs in the basement for extended periods of time. Bam understood he had to gas Vicky up and shit on Bezo a bit, Sam wouldn't have been aware of such things and that is how you ended up with stuff like the mallet moment happening. You're losing some of the artsy cinematic stuff without Sam but gaining a more invested host with Bam.

To me the artsy cinematic shit from Sam was cringe AF.

I'm here to watch terminally online retards be terminally retarded. If I want to see cringe "LE EPIC PRANK BRO THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT I DO!" skit shiz I can find that anywhere on youtube.

Vicky might actually be retarded, in confessional she responded to a tts that used the word "tenacity" and said she didnt know what it meant.

Earlier Jet used the word "amend" on her and she didn't know what that meant, either.

So yeah, she is.,

Yeah it's a give and take. Sam was best when he was playing a character and having fun, imagine S2 or 2.5 without The Judge or The Duke. He had major presence and when he was in an entertainer mindset the whole show benefited.
Bam is kinda just being himself, which is definitely not a bad thing but it kinda feels like when he's just hanging around it becomes a fan meet and greet instead of a hosting role. I agree with you that he keeps much better tabs on how the fish are doing and that will also only benefit the show.
It's going to be interesting when Sam shows up (which is likely based on what Jet was saying during the audition streams, though probably only for a short time) and how his presence will change the vibe in the tank.
