Even if it didn't count as an elim, they could have let it play out to make Emma get a new bitching point besides Bashir.

Edit: Also Alex has annoyed me, but nothing has made me want him to get hit more than him flexing daddy's money on two girls who have been trying to scrape by and patch up their mother's bad spending decisions.
