Maybe because America has a long and rich history of shooting themselves and their allies in friendly fire incidences including killing over 300 of their own paratroopers in Operation Husky, the absolute clusterfuck that was Operation Tiger and all the times in the middle east where they would fire rockets at the British and Canadians because all the yankee pilots were cracked out on government issued meth.

What is Absolutely inexplicable is I have a father who was a Navy seaman at the time, knows Liberty was deliberate, would for a long time get so angry about it when reminded he’d say we should have glassed Jerusalem (that’s his default solution to everything), believes Jews are shifty vice-inclined people by nature, is NOT a dispensationalist, and is a full throated supporter of Israel anyways, saying it was in the past and getting annoyed if you bring it up in conjunction with the legitimacy of our alliance today.
