Christianity *was* semitic religion that got adopted by large chunks of Roman Empire. At least 50% of the empire was Christian when the Emperor made it the original religion.

Christianity made Europe as it is today. It's foundational to the Western civilization and it is foundational to the Western nations. Christianity transformed barbarians to White people. To say it is as foreign as Islam is to not understand history.
