KOTAMON: My Sis Found A Super-Rare Card In Her Cereal Box, So I Became A Garbage Man To Find The Entire Collection And Earn $1,000,000
https://youtube.com/watch?v=er2xMjXel8YWhat is your opinion? For me it has many layers on the troonslop: quirkiness, gooner art, Russian-speaking dev drawing femboy art etc.

why would a gaming platform doxx you for selling a game?

I just assumed publishing anything on a store front would have some way to tie a legal identity to it like a company registration or something but I never looked into it before

In order to list a game on Steam, whether or not Valve is going to be paying you for it (since you can list a game for free if you want), they will need to know the legal name of the holder of the account that the game will be published under. They will also need some tax-related information from you as well (SSN for individuals, or EIN or other tax-ID for an LLC or business).

You can put whatever you want for both the Developer and the Publisher via the Steamworks integration page. You can make that your own legal name if you're a one man team making a passion project, or you can make it the name of your business. You can also just literally make up a business name or use your Internet screenname too. It can be anything, and this is the only piece of "personal info" that Valve will reveal about you. It will not affect payouts at all. You can have three games on Steam credited to different developers/publishers and you'll get paid for all of them under one account. I'm pretty sure the only thing you can't do with a developer name is use terms like "LLC" and "Inc" if those statements are untrue. That's why you see tons of fly-by-night developers with garbage names that don't say things like "JAPAN SEXY GAME CORP" or whatever.

When you buy a game, refund a game, or try to contact the developer(s) on Steam at no point do they reveal the legal name of the person the account belongs to. A random passerby on Steam will only know that information if you divulge it yourself somewhere. If you have an LLC (or an incorporated company etc) and you put down "Kiwi Games LLC" someone can just go look up the business records of that company and find your membership list if you don't have a registered agent or haven't incorporated in a state that allows private membership.

Why is it that every indie game developer's """creative idea""" for a new game just replicating mundane, boring tasks? No, I don't want to collect trash from a spiritually Indian man's house. That sounds horribly boring. This also extends to more recent games that focus on retail, like that one VHS store simulator. Why would I also want to play games about working in retail?
Sorry for replying late, but it is generally the simplest game to make that can garner mass interest. I remember when Flash Games were still prominent, like half the games would entail cooking, dress-up, being a doctor, taxi driver, fishing, etc. Half the time they weren't remotely realistic, the mundane task was just a theme for a game or mini-games. It garnered mass interest, because it was easy to search up. If you made a game about trash collecting and somebody were to look up "Trash collector simulator" there is a good chance your game would pop up on the front page without any marketing, in contrast to something more esoteric sounding like "The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante". What are the odds of somebody randomly finding the latter through searching?

I'm hoping to God that the gaming scene gets a hard reset. We need it so badly.
Snapping life sims out of existence will not bring your favorite genres and franchises back to life. People into life sims will not suddenly pivot to RTSs, Immersive Sims, AGR racers or whatever else you're into that's been heavily neglected. Only good games can bring the spark back, like how Doom (2016) revived boomer shooters (for better or for worse) or how X-Com (2012) brought back tactical strategy into the mainstream. There is no physical shelf space to compete for anymore, only audiences that are overfed while others are starving.

I was playing Yume Nikki Online and I came across "Muma Rope"...
https://youtube.com/watch?v=msieih7e0PQ
Muma Rope is not a troon game. That's literally Ending 0. There are four more endings, depending on what you do to help Muma regain her taste for life.
Plus the game is full of really interesting worlds with good art and bgm, you should check it out fully :)

Yeah I know, it's just funny that is the first thing you can do in the game lmao.

To add to this nowadays even with crazy names they rely mostly on youtubers and streamers to spread the games through their playthroughs and word of mouth. Most peolpe nowadays probably won't do like we did back then wiht flash games they will just watch the streamer play the weird game and they will probably play the weird game.

There's also a chance that the streamer is either sponsored or sent a copy to play the game on stream.

How do you not commit sudoku after reading this?

I love that someone added that comment under this idiot's statement regarding his private domestic situation. That same sentiment could be applied to just about everything trannies, sjw types, genderfluid assholes, and any other collection of creeps who overshare things that absolutely no one would know about them because it's like private bedroom stuff or something to do with their opinion on their own genital removal or some similarly gross and private lifestyle choice that the only people who should have any idea about these things are your lover, your mom, and maybe your doctor. They think they can invent something that they can claim makes them a victim that all of society wants to murder, that way their entire history of failure can be blamed on some private lifestyle choice that no one would know unless they could read your mind. Instead of, you know, the complete lack of ambition, intelligence, and social skills.

Also due to their weak, failing bodies, which are in an advanced state of atrophy due to an extended lifelong period of extreme inactivity.

You can make employees miserable, pay them as little as you can get away with, and watch them like a lolbertarian spin on Big Brother, but you'll never be as bad as a gamer with a boat used for science research and the audacity to make one troon dilate.
Dear Gabe, I wrote you, but you still ain't callin'
I left my telegram, my discord, and my tumblr at the bottom

I don't know if Car Park Capital, a RCT parody criticizing urban infrastructure, was mentioned here in this thread before.

Its Early Access trailer proudly adversities that Not Just Bikes narrated it.

You've been hired by Big Auto to unleash the Freedom of Car Dependency on unsuspecting townsfolk!
Design the slickest parking lots ever seen, then convince citizens they absolutely need them.
Spread glossy pro-car propaganda, outsmart those pesky anti-petrol protesters, and transform quiet neighborhoods into your parking empire!
It's time to drive up car sales and oil consumption! For profit.. but mostly for freedom!

Features

  • Real-time simulation with hundreds of vehicles and (bald) citizens.
  • Buy land, demolish homes, and build the parking lots of your dreams: Endless flat seas of asphalt or build into the air using the 3D construction tools.
  • Read anyone's thoughts: Are they embracing cars yet, or annoyed by your ever-increasing parking fees and the sight of your oil drills?
  • Use pro-car propaganda to turn everyone into a carbrain. Place shiny statues, billboard posters, and blast catchy slogans from megaphones.
  • Keep the people somewhat happy: If traffic is a mess, distract them with a ride on your glorious Ferris Wheel for cars!
  • Control the anti-car protests before they shatter your reputation.
  • Track everything in the Stat-o-matic: A true tycoon loves watching numbers go up.
  • Drill for oil. A full tank is a full heart.
  • Rival public transport: You don't want trains or walkable towns, you want every space flooded with cars!
  • Moddability: Content and scripts can be altered to some extent if you understand Lua.
Car Park Capital fuses strategy and simulation with satire, offering social commentary on car dependency and urban development.
Become a real tycoon and start paving your automotive paradise!

I dunno, this doesn't strike me as a troon game. There's too much effort and commitment to the satire, a troon would just have a character plainly state "I hate cars and think anyone who owns one should die."

Troons would probably like the game though. Not even for the satire, just for being a Tycoon-like.

Car Park Captiol has soul in it. True honest soul from the presentation
Presenting itself as a silly, tongue in cheek "What if RTC was about aggressive car parking?"

Troonslop games all have this ugly soullessness to them in some fashion. I really dont see it there, it really feels like someone is putting their heart and soul into a game with a fun concept rather than just to "send a message man!"

I love the way it looks. The style of the graphics is superb imo. It's like theme park and a tiny bit of the 2nd roller coaster tycoon game. It would be fun if looked the same but was a simulation for something entertaining and interesting, not this snooty reddit faggotry.

That's the proper way to do a retro graphical style. It looks a lot like an old Microprose game from the early to mid 1990s. It's not "retro PS1 graphics" that look nothing like anything you'd ever see on a playstation. You know, all the cheap indy modern crap filtered through a cheese cloth of pixelation. And they all look like that. I think I saw one that pulled it off and you can tell it was a title that had a lot of effort put into it. It wasn't this week's cheap horror indy Resident Evil style game number 9 million.

I checked out the game on tv tropes and apparently at least the main dev isn't a troon. Or at least the "author's avatar" boss is male.

That being said, this game is HEAVY troon shit. The title is a red flag already, since ripping skin is a metaphor favoured by troon creators, and the game has all the edgy tropes loved by them as well (body horror, cults, the bad guy wants to stop the hero from becoming their true self etc.). The playable characters are animu waifus with puke inducing color schemes, and the first one has drama revolving her female friend group, which involves some yuri shit. The main tweeest is that the "heroine" (I refuse to call these kinds of protagonists women, to me they are all spiritually yuricucks wearing female skin) had gone on the journey to break le cycle of toxic relationships she has going on. Also either some "my mom is a bitch" or "abusive lezzie drama" shit. Also some useless 4th breaking shit and meta narrative, because every experimental troon game needs those.

That's it, I just saved you 11 hours of autism.

Author is being smart in keeping away any pronounces and personal pages away from the brand. Yet even so his whininess and lezzie waifu fixation is seeping through as all his games are with le strong waifu protagonists. If he is not a troon already, he is most definitely interacting with one and it's not a stretch to say he may break his "egg" eventually. Bleh.

I believe they just copy the way of how some anime titles are named, like Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon or The Genius Prince's Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt Stars a Clever Fantasy Protagonist in a Leadership Role. I don't watch anime, but such titles sometimes appear in the memes.
