Alex just can't ignore anything said about him. Sure, he has the right to reply to anything, but he seems to focus an awful lot on all of the "negatively-charged" posts about him. Of course his white knights swoop to his rescue as soon as someone says anything remotely neutral or positive (by Alex standards) that he disagrees with because "our dear Yandaddy's feelings can't be hurt!".

He must have never grown out of the phase of trying to weigh in on literally everything that happens to him. I'm wary of people who do this. For normal people, there is a point where you realize there are more important things to do, than to justify yourself to completely random assholes.

As people said, if he stayed out of his chat and let his mods handle things, he would actually have time to spend on his fucking game. It's pretty clear he spends 8 hours a day in chat rooms.

I want to contrast this with the developer's of No Man's Sky. They had a really ambitious game scope, and, due to studio pressure, ended up not putting most of those cool things in the game upon the original release. (which everyone was universally pissed about.)
When this happened, all of the dev's went radio silent for several months, and did zero PR. After 6 months, they released a fully finished game. See how much you get done when you work instead of chatting?

I also feel that John's thread deserves the "Cultcow" tag rather than this thread because I constantly have witnessed new users flooding in every other week into this thread while John's thread is rather...barren.
You are new, so I'll explain. Term "cultcow" has nothing to do with popularity, even though it seems that it does. Cultcow is a person that has a cult following, people who follow their every step and know every detail from their past. Basically, it's a cow that you wouldn't consider funny, until you learn a ton of information about it. If you tell who Alex is in basic terms - "pervy manchild who can't finish his game" - he is not funny, but if you spend your time learning everything in between those words, situation is going to change to complete 180. Said cult can be 5 people, but it still be a cult and any new user wouldn't understand what the hell they are talking about, even if that thread has well-written and informative OP.

I'm still salty @Not Based or Redpilled didn't dig through the emails to find any DollForum-related stuff.
I'm pretty sure that cannotgoogleme logged in because some ween tried resetting his password, regardless of who cannotgoogleme is.
Eh, I don't think there was much if anything. He registered on a said forum how long, four years ago? If it doesn't have "user dollfucker123 replied to your post" kind of messages, the only thing we could get, would be e-mail confirmation and I wouldn't hold my breath about ALex keeping it for that long in his inbox.
I don't think our hacker knew about that account, but it hardly matters. Alex probably didn't know what else was affected, so he checked every account that he had. Also, if hacker logged into his dollfucker account, we would get another round of autistic weenery instead of something interesting or just funny, so I guess it was for the best that he didn't.

Well, so much for "The LoveSick dev doesn't seem to give a single fuck." I guess he got swept up by the horde.

How long until he shuts the whole thing down and goes the way of the rest of the clone devs?

Ah, thanks for the clarification! In that way, this thread's "Cultcow" tag and John K's thread's "Artcow" tag make a lot more sense now. A lot more people outside the farms initially know about John K compared to good ol' Alex.

This is exactly why I'm almost certain he has some fucking narcissistic personality disorder and will probably pop a blood vessel out of incel rage faster than he would die from any natural causes. It's the hardest kind of problem to get help for because the person will jump through any hoop to justify to themselves that they are perfect and everyone else is wrong. It's exactly what he does in almost any scenario he's in and his "fans" are enabling . All anyone can do now is wait for Darwinism to do its thing.

It's funny to watch him try to justify why he did various shit in the past (Sisefs, his posts on the Gaia Online forum, Lunar Scythe, Mike Z, etc.) but at the same time, it's really, really sad. He goes through so much mental gymnastics to try to convince "critics" that he was in the right at the time, even when it comes to his most controversial actions.

I just assume any attempt at making a game like Yandere Simulator but better will always end up filing. Yet, retards get so excited about a rival game because they never learn. Lovesick is just an asset flip of an asset flip. At least with Yandere Simulator, it has some original assets.

I just want to publicly thank Yanderedev.

Seeing how badly he can fuck up a unity game but still have paying customers has made me get back into developing unity games.

I will code it like he does. No complex frame works. No fretting over dumb virgin shit like object orientation or using a switch statement. Just gonna write a single script and drop it on all my assets. Fuck you customer pay me.

So now that Lovesick (name pending) seems to be shaping up into a shitshow itself, why do all the fangames seem to end up like this? It's almost as if there's some sort of a cum chalice curse, or even if a dev doesn't turn out as bad as Alex, they decide it's not worth wasting time on. In any case, it kind of desensitizes you to these projects and makes it feel like you can't really do something like this right in the first place, which wouldn't be all that surprising.

The only fangame that hasn't gone to complete shit is Project RY, but it's become so detached from Yandere Sim that it might as well be an original game. All the devs make the same mistake; releasing information about the game to the public too early, and only making the game out of spite.

I feel like the key to success is in this is making the game purely to continuously fuck with Alex.

YandereSim, like MLP and Steven Universe, attracts complete spergs who can't even wipe their own ass, let alone make a game.

When these retards are told that Alex is a talentless hack, and they have a hateboner for him because at one time they worshipped him - they have every incentive to try their hand at making a game even though they're more talentless than Alex.

I think eventually someone will make a good one, like how the Chris Chan documentary was something every retard wanted to try their hand at, and then Geno Samuel came along and just put something of quality out. But until something is actually out, it's just all talk.

Honestly, the more I thump my brain around how to make yansim actually good, the more it amazes me how Alex survived this deep into his shitshow of a game. After at least a month of planning on fucking 4chan and getting clout from mainstream letsplayers, he thinks this thing is his masterpiece of a lifetime? It's just so obvious that the dang core mechanics aren't fleshed out. This is why the spin offs/attempts at fixing it remain half-baked and shitty and yansim will forever maintain an edgy killy simulator. Like everyone said, just sell it off to an indie game company and go.

There's Sarah's School Life. Granted, it is a mobile game, but they seem to be considering making a PC version. You can even pet a cat in that game

This is the root of every single one of Alex's problems. He's so goddamn obsessed with himself and controlling the narrative surrounding his game that he inadvertently ends up drumming up more criticism by trying to censor everyone on the fucking internet.

He's turned his Discord and subreddit into a praise factory where nothing bad is said about him and that's still not enough for him. Alex cannot STAND that there are places like KF that can openly mock him that he can't do anything about. He cannot stop himself from reading this shit because he's addicted to the narcissistic injury. That's why he keeps making these longass posts and videos about how we're shitheads and we're ruining his game. He cannot understand that we're a small group on the internet who only have power because he lets us live rent-free in his skull.

If he put his head down, stayed in his Discord/Reddit hugbox, and worked on his game his life would be astoundingly different.

That in itself is a good point. I've talked about it with a friend and in his point of view, just the idea of coming back to the scene of your crime every day is comedic at best. There are a few ideas I've had for how the setting could work better, and possibly get closer to Hitman, but admittedly those ideas are probably even more autistic than what Alex has cooked up so far.

The most likely reason is that the underlying concept of Yan Sim is fundamentally broken. Sure, a more experienced developer can make the game run better and look nicer, but if the core gameplay loop is flawed, then not even a major AAA studio can improve upon it substantially.

I know the chances of that are pretty much below 1% at this point. Still, for my peace of mind I have to know that every available (and realistic) option of getting the unbroken code has been exhausted
We do have the code, just not the assets. That's all you really need.
