The new Rex Viper track has dropped today:

First off, who's the nu-male that is leading the band in the song?

New console review.png

A new console review coming up. I wonder how it will go, even in the midst of zombie AVGN. AVGN console reviews are usually superb at best and fairly decent at worst; the worst AVGN console reviews I can think of is the Amiga CD32 episode and the 3DO episode this year, though the former wasn't too bad, and it surely brought me attention to what shenanigans Commodore was up to at the time, and the 3DO episode was a good way to showcase what games were on the system, even if all the more technical stuff was already discussed long ago in his Plumbers Don't Wear Ties episode.

What consoles are there that aren't too forgotten to be interesting, too new to be valid or some eurotrash better covered by britbong youtubers?
The only think I can think of is the Dreamcast that probably wasn't bad but died to the ps1 and 64.
The two consoles I can think of that could be reviewed are the Neo Geo or the Pippin; James has spoken favorably about the Neo Geo in the past, so he'll probably review it with passion if he gets to it, while the Pippin is worse than any of the computers Apple made at the time of its release, which could merit a scathing review from him if he (or Screenwave) gets his hands on it.

The moment when the singer starts singing I just turned it off because the pitch is really poor.

No time to watch this.
I've heard better singing from white girls screeching the latest pop song in their cars. Also, love how Justin is getting as much time on camera as James. Hell, maybe even more in this latest video.

This is a good guess. The problem with collecting Neo Geo titles is that it's very expensive. The games go anywhere from $100-500 a piece for the MVS cart. The AES carts go for thousands of dollars whereas the MVS can go for a couple hundred. Of course, in this Zombie AVGN timeline, Screen Wave will just use an emulator. That might be solid. The Neo Geo had a fantastic library with remarkably few bad games.

A AVGN review of MSX (Comparing the Konami games specially) could be pretty cool.
This is also a good guess. The MSX was a pretty unremarkable console where the big title was Rondo of Blood. Rondo is maybe the best Castlevania game in the series of course. The rest of the games on the system are either arcade ports of SHMUPS, a couple of RPG's, and Hentai titles.

Justin said an episode on the Commodore 64 is upcoming. I wouldn't call the C64 a "console", but James is often weird when it come to terminology.
Could be the Commodore 64GS then

A console based on the C64 that failed miserably. Used the cartridge system only.

Decided to give the full music video a shot, and man was it horrible, definitely the worst one and it's pretty sad to see how the quality for Rex Viper gets worse as it goes on. The vocals are really off at some points, and for the visuals they really are horrible at some points (trying to use the background of the band as green screen while putting the Megaman 2 game as the background really hurts my eyes, and wtf are these filters?) and that tiger dancing really made me cringe. The only good parts are just 3D animations of the Tiger Electronics doing training and maybe the Rex Viper Tiger Electronics mockup but that's it.

It's so bad that despite there's more likes than dislikes than usual, the comments are really bashing it. This isn't me cherrypicking the comments, these are the top comments in the video right now:
