He has managed to get away with: aggravated assault with a weapon (mace), shoplifting, vandalism, attempted murder, sexual harassment, etc., without ever being seriously reprimanded at all.
When the judge looks at Chris' priors, I'd assume/hope that they would rule that an example must be made so that Chris doesn't do shit again. Locking him up behind bars or a padded cell is best for Chris' own protection and the rest of the population.

so there's a real chance he gets away with this scott free

Doubtful. If it stays as just incest charges, he might be let go with time served and a no-contact order with Barb. That's hardly scott free because it entails months in jail and a permanent ban from 14BC, and potentially the start of the Homeless Saga.

If rape charges are added, then the penalties could be much more severe.

I would never trust Chris doing nighttime stocking of any business that sold items he was interested in. His poor impulse control would doubtless wind up with him walking off with merchandise. Of course being as inept and naive as he is, he would get caught, but the point is that Chris and temptation are not a good mix.

It's funny that you mention Best Buy, since that's where the alleged shoplifting incident happened. I doubt they would hire him after something like that, although I've never seen firm confirmation of it (there was a troll op trying to convince Chris that the security cam footage would be leaked, but to the best of my knowledge it was just to get a reaction out of Chris and no such footage has been found). @LoveYouLongTime claimed to have been there at the time though, maybe she can chime in and confirm her account of the incident.

I'm going to have to dig into the recesses of my memory on this. I seem to recall two Best Buy incidents. Neither which I personally witnessed. If I claimed to have it must have been to protect the identities of the original sources and because people were(and still are) weird about alleged stories not coming directly from the source.

I was friends with a few people who worked at Best Buy. One incident included him throwing Pokeballs at girls to "catch" them. The other incident was him walking out of the store with merchandise. He was caught on security cameras. My memory is fuzzy on the outcome of that one. Either way, he ended up getting banned at some point. The Pokeball incident was in the fairly early days of Chris trolling where friends would be like "oh you know Chris Chan? Well here's a story when I worked at X place."

Another friend sort of witnessed the tail end of Chris getting kicked out of Target way back in the day. He was heading to the break room when he heard Chris' outburst about getting kicked out.

Chris' parents, mainly Bob, already had the distrust of government systems/programs like vocational rehab, and thought it was best to mainstream him. Big help that did. I doubt vocational rehab will help Chris now because of his known legendary laziness, and his belief that no place will take him in because his past antics, which is somewhat true. I think the only job Chris could do is work for a hobby store since that is what he knows since he frequents them, or work back in the stock room of a Best Buy or Walmart. Would vocational rehab program even trust Chris because of what he did to Barb?
It would have to be something with no customer contact, and nothing interesting to borrow/steal. Something like washing dishes someplace other than a restaurant.

The Chris of old would have been able to hold a straightforward brain dead repetitive job if Chris given a handler and the employer realized issues would crop up. Old Chris solely functioned on actions/reward or consequence. Do job, get money, use money for toys and games. Chris is undeniably lazy though so he would try and shirk his duties or think he's coming up with a really clever way to expedite his job but ends up causing problems for everyone else. He would get reprimanded, handler would have to translate for him and spell it out for him that he needs to do his job exactly as told of him and if he doesn't then he'll get fired. Rinse and repeat.

The root of Chris' issues and why he is where he's at now is that his parents led him to never accept accountability for his actions. This has led him to develop his deep seated entitlement. All his other issues worsened because he never received proper guidance in those formative years of his life. Now Chris is so delusional and can't accept that he'll be in deep shit for the rest of his life because what are earthly punishments when he's a self proclaimed goddess in a made up world and is convinced his made up world will merge with the real one.

This ended up wordier than I wanted, but tl;dr speculating if Chris can hold a job is long gone. He's too crazy and there's no coming back from it.

The problem is a tard wrangler costs more than whatever value Chris could possibly deliver even at his best. He could only really work in a sheltered workshop setting where there was a tard wrangler for multiple tards. Even so, these are still often there just to keep tards busy.

Downies who are actually functional and hard workers can quite often get a real job in the real world and handle it.

After passively watching Chris for year's this has been so painful to watch and I thought I couldn't cringe any harder than when he initially began to troon out. He's not walking away from this one at the very least he is never going to see Barb again and his support network has practically dissolved entirely over night, although I'm sure there are still weens and retards that will continue to finance him it won't be enough for him to fully subsist on. If he goes to prison that will be it for him, he can't be in general population because it would almost certainly mean death for him so his only other alternative is to spend that time in protective custody where he will continue to grow more insane. He really needs to get help there's still a small part of me that wants to see him get better even though that's just wishful thinking at this point. I wonder what he's doing in there right now and what his mental state will look like at his next hearing.
Man Chris you really fucked up this time buddy.

Chris was never going to provide a net positive to society, but a government issued tard wrangler who allowed him to work a menial job would probably be less of a drain than just straight welfare and whatever its costing now to jail him
It would cost them what they were paying him (because he would provide absolutely no value or negative value in return), plus the salary of a tard wrangler. So probably 2-3 times what it's costing them just to give him tard bucks. At least his tard bucks will be suspended.

Yeah right, I'm pretty sure the American Hedgehog would lick the shit out of Chris' ass after Chris gets out of jail.
his has led him to develop his deep seated entitlement

Despite Barb's influence and actions, she's still his mother. He didn't show any kind of remorse for the old bat once he was in police custody, and he took those mugshots. He doesn't care about Barb. He does not have the capacity to care for anyone but himself, and I'm sure that his parents didn't instill that trait in him. He was born that way, it doesn't matter what made him a sociopath.

As for throwing Pokeballs at women, what the fuck! That's some new-age Norman Bates sex offender shit. It's a miracle he didn't ask, "If you were my Evee, would you let me walk you on a collar?"

He's hopelessly retarded that reminds me of the paper heart he would tie to a red string and throw at women. What really puts me off is his "positive vibes" that come off as entirely superficial, when he did that whole rant towards gunt about "maintaining good faith" I had to roll my eyes I think he thinks he's going to worm his way out of this.

A megarich rich celebrity and his legal team securing an acquittal does not mean he's innocent. Chris does not have that luck.

Wait. Michael Jackson was accused of sexual assault and settled out of court 1994. The name of the boy he allegedly abused?
Jordan Chandler.
1994, the very year "Chris" Chandler had his name changed!
The game soundtrack Michael Jackson had been working on? Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
With Michael Jackson is alive in Chris's delusion nightmare world, singing "I've come from the hood of child, their youthful antics are from the wild." And sexually abused children being significantly more likely to turn into some sort of abuser when they grow up and to suffer dirty crapped briefs I think we know who really paid for that shopping trip for "Chris."

Well in the eyes of the law it does mean he was found innocent. Plus if you look at the trial its not like the lawyer was playing legal kung fu for jackson. The prosecutor literally changed state laws to try and stack the deck against jackson ( as well as laughably broke the law ). Jackson was still found not guilty on all counts. The deeper you look into jackson the more you realise what happened . A con artist convinced jacksons managers to get him to settle in 1994 and that inspired a decade of copy cats who have a falling out with jackson and then look for mega payouts. Copy cats get laughed out of court , media circus mocks jackson; rinse repeat

This isn't court so I'm not sure why you're defending Michael Jackson in response to a joke post about Chris Chan

Skip to 29:23 that is when they arrive at the courthouse. Skip to 40:40 that is when he gets back from the information desk with the information that the trial has been continued.
They then get back in the car and waste a large amount of time my guess is to get those views in because under YouTubes new payment system it works off of watch time rather than views but that is just speculation as to why they would bother wasting everyone's time

So this video is gone. Did anyone archive it or were ya'll too busy trying arguing about the insanity defense?

And honestly, there's a lot of theorymongering going on about what a good lawyer would do with Chris but do you honestly think he has one? Lord knows he can't afford one. If he has a public defender, he's getting the bare minimum, period.

The public defender he was appointed is actually a decent lawyer. Whether he cares enough to actually spend time on Chris's case or whether Chris can set aside his arrogance to listen to the lawyer's legal advice is a different matter.

A month is nothing. Chris is being held without bail. This means that he has 2 choices.
1. Request a trial. If he does this he waives a bunch of options (like plea deals)
2. sit and wait, stay in jail. This actually helps his plea deal because it adds to the "time served" portion of the deal. Basically they make a deal that lowers the charge and drops some of the worst charges completely, Chris pleads guilty and he gets off with time served and the bulk of the sentence suspended.

I'm always flabbergasted how little people understand about the criminal justice system.
Most people of low melanin content have very little experience with the legal system outside of speeding tickets. Their knowledge quite literally comes from Judge Judy and criminal dramas. I'm not surprised at all. Most people with any legal background could tell you Chris's case will almost certainly end in a plea deal.

speculating if Chris can hold a job is long gone. He's too crazy and there's no coming back from it.
Crazy, lazy, untrustworthy and incapable or dealing with other people either customers or coworkers. If he goes to full on prison for this, there may be "work detail," or even work release programs that could give him perks, benefits, maybe even reduced sentence with the possibility of landing a vocational job when he gets out. Other inmates buckle down and make the most of their time on the inside, and do those kinds of things if offered.

Others like chris will refuse to do anything but stay in solitary/protective custody all day long and wait out their sentence. The prison can't legally force Chris to do any manual or hard labor even if they offer to compensate him for it, so they'll just suspend a privlage or two and keep him confined to his cell not that he'll care, so long as he can sit in his nice quiet room and draw all day....maybe watch basic tv on a set some ween commissary's him money for he'll be happy as a hog in its own shit.

Chris has a good lawyer, David L. Heilberg, who was appointed for him by the court.
