That was happening for me as well, it's common during SC openings and membership openings for Hololive.

Javascript is single-threaded, so let's say you have an eight-core processor, the code in that tab is still only running on one core and likely maxing it out at times, causing the stream to freeze repeatedly. That's very oversimplified, but the gist of it.
If you click on the top-right menu near the chat and "Pop out Chat", that'll open chat in its own tab instead, and it'll have its own thread. That way, even if chat still freezes, it shouldn't be able to affect the video. Works for me at least.

Mmm. Not interested in ASMR at all. She does have some somber yet smooth song covers as Dottovu so I'm real curious how good her live singing voice is in a karaoke setting outside of the produced stuff though. If it ends up being as good as Gura's then I wouldn't mind tossing 5 bucks for another lounge act to listen and relax to.

I think ultimately it's just that "we" don't really matter much in the grand scheme of things. If the farms or /vt/ freak out about something it's still a pretty small and on the whole irrelevant thing overall. The hugboxes like reddit dwarf us in size and while I don't care for the hugbox mindset, some days the doomposting here is just as, if not more, autistic.

Like how folks still try to give a post-mortem on why Council "fell short" as they continue to blow past and outperform any EN talent outside hololive. This might be the only place I go to chat about vtubers but it's certainly not a good sample of what the broader community thinks.
