Canada Federal election 2021

Well I was driving to surprise my parents to see the black faced retard still has a minority government after I got there, though it seems like the CPC has more leverage this time around. A pity the PPC didn't get any seats as I expected a few, but at least they noticeably gained more traction after 2 years. Oh well. Trudeau is still a faggot.

Wait so Trudeau called his own election? And then lost seats? If you’re already in power why the fuck would you call an election?

If he thought he could get a majority he should have been damn sure of it. Do you guys not have internal polling? How do you fuck things up this much?
In Canada there's 3 ways to get an election:
1. A Vote of No-Confidence (can also occur when a budget bill fails as they are presumed to be confidence votes)
2. The timing expires (4 years)
3. The Governor General calls an election (she answers to the PM and is our messenger to the crown).

Justin Trudeau called the third so he'd get a majority government. A majority allows him to pass any bill and deny any bill/motion. He had and currently has a minority, so other parties can pass bills against his party if they make coalitions. He called it because he was guaranteed to win, and was extremely likely to get his majority.

Edit: O'Toole came out swinging and did amazing considering the circumstances. The outcome isn't good for the CPC/conservatives but is a lot better then what we were expecting.

I’m half certain a requirement for being a Canadian Politician is to be retarded, and Trudeau’s from Quebec so that means he’s extra retarded. Not a lot of brain cells on Capital Hill on a good day…

But yeah, wasting half a billion dollars (or as you Americans would call it, a couple hundred bucks) on a complete do nothing election? Probably not a good look

The liberals were definitely polling in majority territory very recently.

The citizens of the cuckdom support lockdows, vaccine passports, and even denying medical care to the unvaccinated. Cuckdom citizens are petty little authoritarian faggots. Unfortunately for the Laurentian Elite their voters are too busy struggling to make their rent payments on cerb and unable to afford a house in the urban centres, so that took a back seat this particular election. Otherwise no doubt trudeau would have won a historical sized majortiy

Mind if l ask as I'm not in Canada. What changed?

I'm really enjoying the screenshots a based Canadian friend of mine is sending me from social media of REEEEtards wailing and tearing their clothes. It's like the GE in 2017 where the spastics on the left expected a "red wave" but got ass fucked.

Canadians we're starting to care less about the pandemic (since we're like 80-90% double vaccinated) and economic recovery was becoming a larger issue. Conservatives always do good with the economic recovery issue, so it's possible Trudeau wanted to ride his popularity surviving this pandemic (because there's a lot of issues he's done like almost buying the Chinese Vaccines that no one recognizes) and build another majority. In Canada, minorities will often call an election if they think they can get a majority. Harper did it twice, getting the majority on the second time.

I liked to joke about Mad Max coming in from left field and winning the whole shebang, but damn, zero seats? I expected, like, five or something. I voted PPC, despite knowing they wouldn't win, but I do wonder how many conservative voters ended up voting "strategically," when their hearts told them PPC. If all of them went purple, could they have gained a few seats?

The end of the cuckdom came in 1995 when money and the ethnic vote prevented Quebec's seperation referendum from succeeding. Had the yes vote won, Canada would have been forced to evolve or be dismembered. Instead the cuckdom limps along like a zombie waiting for its limbs to fall off (western and Quebec Seperation). The Laurentian Elite like Trudeau and O'Toole (and Bernier btw) cower in their urban centres and universities using transfer payments from the colonies to bribe the ethnic vote into keeping them in power.
It's not like it was a true separation. Look up the terms; they still wanted the fucking equalization payments.

Yeah no, I think Canada will continue to persist long into the future as a country, as the economic arrangements are too comfortable for Quebec and Prairie Separatism has no real cultural component nor international support.

Instead, I agree that the country's continued devolution into an economic zone and American cultural satellite will continue, and the most there will be is more devolution. Anyways, the hidden lining to this election is that nothing has really changed, and that the economic costs incurred by the pandemic actions must ultimately be paid.

IMO, Bernier could have done better to have stayed inside the Conservatives and attempted to find like-minded MPs to manipulate party policy from the inside, just like the parties in the US have their caucuses.

As I recall he was riding fairly high in the last leadership election and might have had some level of influence, but outside the Conservatives, he has no seat nor leverage, and at this point the PPC has too much unfairly piled baggage to have any real traction beyond being a protest vote against the trajectory of the Conservatives (PPC voter distribution is too thinly spread for any seat).

The cope here is wonderful :)
I told you PPCucks to abandon hope and start the helicopters but you all played Trudeau's games and "voted with your heart". PPC barely had any platforms apart from no lockdowns and muh guns. In some ways they didn't even say HOW they would do it. @America's Hat has been my mouthpiece: First past the post is a garbage system when there's more than 2 parties. When you start to add 5-6 parties votes become centralize. Good job "ousting" the green party tho real accomplishment there. :lit:

no PPC had zero chance at getting any seats apart from Maxime's. From the looks of it he got less votes this year than 2019 in his riding.

Agree that O'Toole did well considering he was pretty much a complete unknown and wasn't prepared for an election - but I think there's going to be questions about how the Conservatives went from having such a huge lead early in the campaign to this result. Probably not enough that his position's going to be in any immediate danger (from what I gather, Andrew Scheer would probably have survived losing the 2019 election if not for his getting caught up in an expense scandal not long afterwards), but he'll want to watch his back.

Looks like the video then the PCC did about Trudeau might be relevant again.

All it miss is a Downfall parody clip where Hitler is angry then Trudeau still got a minority government again.

PPC cost the Cons the seats in Long Range Mountains and Bonavista-Burin-Trinity. If not for that it would have been the best showing for the Cons in Newfoundland since Danny Williams salted the earth after his slapfight with Stephen Harper back around 2007 or 2008. Hopefully now O'Toole will stand aside so the Prime Minister in waiting Pierre Poilivevre can step in and trounce Trudeau when the minority inevitably falls in the next year or so.

*Edit* His shit is so good.

It looks like he gained three, and the CPC lost two
