New lore dropped,Phil apparently was bullied and had his stuff broken so often his parents noticed and he had to tell them,we know he is narcissistic,,a compulsive liar,autistic and overall unbearable to be around so if you think about how much of a dick 15 year olds can be(and that he was in a school populated by retarded Tevins) it doesn't surprise me that he was bullied.

Also that bullying story. from what I seen there I think we learned he wasn't bullied enough. If he did the bullying then I imagine he'd of had to go to a retard school, I'm sure he's always been a skinny fat sissy bastard.

Btw how to you break a bag? Was his stuff cheap shitty knock offs? I'd love to see someone rip the straps off a bag.

One thing that fascinates me about DSP is that most of his career is the story of a man who had it pretty good but he had to get greedy, and be a piece of a shit, and that cost him fans and money in the long run. Namely his begging comes to mind as something where he's driven away fans both old and new coming in so he can squeeze a little more out of those who stay.

Pretty good? Phil effectively won the lottery with his Youtube luck. He's had parents that have paid for him and covered for his fat ass his entire life. Phil should be one of the most gracious people you'd see online. Alas, he is what he is and will continue to get away with it well enough forever.

What's really crazy is how easily he could have been a millionaire just off fan donations by now if he was even slightly sensible with his money.
You wouldn't even need to fix any of his mistakes besides the spending, hell he probably could still be a millionaire by coasting off the 10k a month he's been making lately. The only reason he isn't fucking loaded is his own dumbass.

100%. He should have socked that money away, bought stock, put it in his 401(k). He could absolutely be a millionaire by now if he just held whatever he had and kept his cost of living small. But nope, instead, sweaty fucking JPEGs and enough gin to kill Queen Anne. Dumb, just dumb. But fools and their money, and all that rot.

Phil is a tale of what happens when you fail to adapt in a changing market. His day one view idea worked in his early days, when few people had the time to play, record and upload footage of the newest releases. Also his low quality was good for the time. He was one the the first to make money off gameplay videos, thanks to his time on blip. However the market changed.

More people were able to, thanks to MCNs allowing the monetisation of of copyrighted material, meant that for the first time Phil had real competition. Phil's reaction: none what so ever. It was like they didn't exist. He continued on, unaware that the world of let's plays was changing. His fight against capture cards was a symptom of this mindset.

His failures to improve meant his value began to diminish. His early advantage was lost and eventually began to haemorrhage his own MCN. The moment the first pay cut happened, his downfall was sealed (parden the dramatics, sorry). This should've been a wake up call to improve, but we all know the only way for him is down.

He continued on like nothing happened. He moved to the other side of the country with a girl who he had stolen any prospect of success from, intending to use only his diminished income to support them. 'Twas a bad idea and even after knowing how bad credit was, began taking out loans and credit cards to fund everything. Even back then he couldn't control his spending.

Fast forward to today and every problem had only got worse. The loss of Machinima lost him his greatest advantage on youtube: That he was protected from Content ID. He managed to get into over $140k in just credit card debt and his place in the market has all but evaporated. And all that time the only thing that changed was his method of sucking money.

When Patreon was first introduced, he claimed that if everyone gave him just $1 a month he would never need to beg them again. We all know how well that went. He has always begged, ever since he could make money. "Click on the ads" was the first.

Now he begs so much because he threw away so many other revenue streams.

Teespring? memory holed and when was the last time he did anything for it
BTTV, Hell Twitch itself? Never working with them again.

All he has now are youtube, which pales compared to his twitch equivalents and tips. He's nothing left to turn to, and he knows it. The leaks did a number on him, but not in the way any of us initially expected. It wasn't he paypigs waking up, most already were but they didn't care. It was the fact that Phil lost any ambiguity in his claims of "bills" and thus lost his underdog status.
