The Australian totalitarian megathread - She won't be right mate.

Bonus content clipped from Rukshan's stream, shortly before the cops break it up -- a woman loses her shit in what could probably be used as a summary clip for the last 2 years in general. Also some remarkable detail views of the cops' riot gear, for tactinerds.

Watching those facebook streams when the tradies got funnelled into the Shrine has finally convinced me the NPC meme is a legitimate fact of this reality. It was the same comments from these pro-lockdown faggots over and over again
>Its so disrespectful standing on the Shrine like that! My *insert fake relative here* died for this country and he'd be ashamed!
>They aren't real tradies! Get a job you lazy druggies!
>I hope the police arrest you/ I hope you get COVID and die
>The whole world is ashamed of us for letting you protest!

And it was the same thing on the pro-tradies side
>No the ANZAC's would be with US
>They don't have jobs because they all got fired!
>This is for our children's freedom! (parroted mostly by boomer women I noticed)
>The whole world is ashamed of us for letting you put the boot on our necks!

It was like a ferris wheel of debate. Completely circular.

And don't even get me started on the whole 'ANZAC' thing. First, standing on the Shrine was the best tactical move they could make after they got cornered, one that won the protesters the optics war for anyone that was watching. It was smart that they refused to walk down St Kilda and get arrested, it was smart to stay and make them attack. At least 50k people watched a bunch of riot-gear fuckers march on a monument of sacrifice in the name of your country and attacked peaceful protesters. You can't get better imagery.

Second. We aren't American. ANZAC's first fought for patriotism and to defend the old homeland in an era when the British Empire was one of the greatest civilizations out there. And we were part of that civilization, a bunch of kids eager to go off and kill continental scum for trying to touch mother Britain. There was no war for freedom, back then we had actual judges that implemented the common law like they were meant to, protecting ancient rights with gavel and weird ass wig. The closest we ever got to fighting for 'freedom' was the Eureka Stockade, and we know how that went down.
(Though there was that bit in WW2 with the Imperial Nips too....)

Nowadays they fight for the same reason any military force does. The paycheck. Hardly worth the respect or the gratitude, unless you get a stiffy from watching sand people die in which case send some christmas cards or something.

And finally, leave the dead to their graves. Don't use them to shame the living. Your relative that fought in WW1/WW2/Korea/Wherever was most likely an abo-bashing, gook-killing high school dropout that beat his wife for shits and giggles after a night down the pub. Incredibly based and red-pilled, yes, but their opinions mean jack shit since they're fucking deceased.

It's interesting how different two people's perspective can be. I spoke with my mother re: the sanctity of the shrine being violated, and she's more disgusted about people clambering all over it, whereas I'm absolutely ropable that weapons were discharged there. Regardless, it's fucking disgraceful from start to finish. The protesters should never have been there and the coppers should never have fired their weapons.

Catching up on what's going on in Oz, shit is fucking nuts. I wish you all Aussie kiwis godspeed, in these trying times. :semperfidelis:

"Freedom of the press" was a fucking mistake. I am so done with the mainstream media.

Jesus even with the masks you can see the cops all do that fart-sniffing smirk that cops do when asked to consider whether they're betraying the ethical imperative of their position, all in unison.

Anybody have any context on the undercover cop video? Is it possible it was just a bloke they pulled up on the street?

Additionally, any tactinerds know what’s up with the almost-LGBT-themed magazines and stock?

Save the outrage for the news.com.au comment section. You’ll get more upboats.

Normally you see bright colors like that to denote the "less lethal" weapon, but idk of anything with a box mag that fits the bill.

Because 90% of these people will cause civil disobedience, restrictions will lift, they'll go back to work and they get to watch the AFL grand final on the weekend. And when election season rolls around, Andrews will resign or be voted out. The guns argument also can work for America, they just have bigger guns to put down their citizens. People need to organize to affect real change but between glowies, surveillance and special interest groups that's kind of hard these days.

Probably sim rounds if it's being fired through a standard mag. It's basically a paintball that's fired from a normal gun. The plastic shell is heavy so it survives the pressure and rifling in the barrel, so they can be very dangerous at close range. I knew a range master that got shot point blank in the hand with a 9mm sim round and it went clean through.

But that's not a very good less lethal solution. Do they make them in 7.62? I don't think that's an AR platform rifle.

It exists at least. Colored mag fits and stock probably denotes the gas system is set up for it (they produce lower pressure)

Spot on. Genius. Thanks.

they are coloured like that to demonstrate they fire non lethal rounds.

Not quite. Thanks for playing.

Edit: I’m wrong. Both are correct. It looks to be a VKS Pepperball operating in “magazine mode”. It is capable of firing both pepper balls and paint balls.

That big ass thing on top of her rifle is a paintball hopper, meaning it is a paintball gun and not a firearm. The stock is also a compressed air tank with a sleeve over it. I don't recall a hopper or air tank being visible on the other rifle. Same colors but it may be different equipment. Sim rounds are fired from a brass casing with a gunpowder charge, meaning you wouldn't need any special equipment for them to function through a standard firearm.

Dual-feed VKS product page if anyone's interested: https://www.pepperball.com/products/vks/
Looks like a pretty cool device although the choice of an AR-15 look-and-feel is a slightly strange, possibly gay, decision for australian cops. I doubt it's for cross compatibility/training in this case (though I don't really know anything about these guys, maybe I'm wrong) so it seems a little overcompensatory considering pepperballs are no joke anyway.

Obligatory reminder for everybody to reinstall SWAT 4.

Usually you want non-lethal weapons to be extremely similar to your standard issue weapons because the training for each tends to overlap. From what I can tell, the Aussie cops use the G36. My guess is they went with an AR platform because it looks scarier than a paintball gun to normies.
