He did everything but say what he needed the money for. He has now mentioned a few times that he doesn't understand why the tips are so slow.

I also just remembered that Phil specifically said last week after begging during his 'short week' for grocery money, that he was getting paid by YT this week and that he would be 'fine' for his day off this week as a result of the YT payment. So on top of everything else, that got memoryholed.

Of course! Of course not thirty minutes ago, when jumping on his chat about asking stupid questions, he says, “I’m playing an interesting and unique game and you guys are asking me stupid questions!” And he also answers that he’s really enjoying the game when people ask him.

Tips are pathetically low towards the end of the stream, and now all of a sudden he’s nitpicking the game. Don’t get me wrong, this game is not for me… but I always find it hilarious how Phil’s opinion of a game is often dependent on if he’s raking in the tips.

so is this officially overtime? I feel like DSP used to always clock out right at 9 his time and if he didn’t he’d make a big sweeping statement about he’s going over, now it just seems like he wastes time on the game until he eventually gets tipped an acceptable amount

the idea that DSP has to play games longer than he wants to fuel his addictions is pretty tight though

Last minute retcon.
Trolling has been terrible today and it has pulled down the streams.
It's not the moderators' fault though, they are doing great and aren't expected to be there constantly, but Phil is sorry that the trolling has been bad.

I don't think the trolling has been any heavier than usual, and there may have been more mods than usual floating around tonight. Eternal Napalm was there for a while.
But it's good that we have some copium for the slow stream. God forbid we have to address any underlying issues.

EDIT: Swagginz was talking to Phil 5 minutes after he said this, so this is confirmed copium.

With games like Pyschonauts 2 and Kena....they either require a good streamer, or a very selective audience.

Both of those games in my opinion aren't games that by themselves can support a stream.

I see big streamer talk about this all the time. How certain single player games are great, but don't end up being fun to watch.

They both could be fun to play but again with Phil at the controller they make me want to gouge my eyes out.
