Yeah that's more likely. I bet Pat lost any financial backing he had or fears his case will die in CA and is asking the defendant to not go after him for fees if he drops the case.

Part 4 is out, another interview with Pat and the fake Huffpo reporter. It's on nanaimg, looks like all the reporting has stopped the YouTube uploads.

- Audio is pretty bad at the start of the video, lots of breaking up.
- Pat babbling on about the 'performative cruelty' of his trolls. States that being cruel "buys capital amongst themselves".
- Pat talks about being trolled with WWE text messages. For people not on the other forums, this refers to SpaceEdge trolling Pat through text messages while posing as different WWE superstars. Reporter is having problems keeping it together here.
- Reporter asks Pat about his defamation suit, Pat says it would have to remain off the record, then hesitates further and says he is not able to comment.
- Reporter asks Pat about his chances. Pat says what ever happens in the lawsuit doesn't matter. He has Quasi's name from the forum mole.
- Pat asked how he thinks the judge will rule, Pat refuses to answer.
- Reporter asks Pat if he has any further footage of the vandalism other than the first video. Pat says his security camera can only record 30 seconds at a time.
- Apparently some 'Huffpo higherups' are skeptical that the video shows vandalism and they might not want to put the vandalism into the article based on the video alone. Pat's reply - "That man absolutely vandalized my house."
- Reporter asks if there are any police reports. Pat says the police did shows up and take pictures, "there weren't any prints". Reporter asks for police incident report numbers for vandalism and swatting events. Pat says he will provide them.
- Reporter asks Pat if he can ignore the trolls. Pat - "Ignoring doesn't work, they only double and tripled down, they want me dead, ignoring increases the pain, if they don't get their fix they'll go and do even more monstrous things."
- Reporter asks Pat if he has considered writing a book/script/documentary about his experiences being trolled. Pat - "Those are being discussed." Pat mentions appearing on strictly stalking - "That generated quite a bit of interest."
- Pat hopes that his 'Gamergate 2.0' being picked up by enough people will change legislation around trolling and stalking on the internet.
- Pat admits he spends a 'couple of hours' a day on the trolls, is angry how much time is robbed from him. "Hours and days and weeks and months, and now years stolen away from me, from the life I should be living, so these people can get their jollies."
- Reporter promises to keep Pat updated on status of article. Pat promises he will get incident report numbers.
- Pat also offers logins and passwords so the reporter can access OnaForums, including the secret forum. (Thought he didn't browse the forums???)

Not the most eventful part yet, but some good content nonetheless. With Pat offering the police report numbers to the journalist, I really hope the big reveal in Part 5 is that he doesn't send them over and then admits it was all bullshit.

Not really, sanctions in the form of legal fees are fairly seldom granted. I think there's a reasonable claim of abuse of process since Fat Rick has more or less admitted he knew these lolsuits were bullshit but just wanted to get people's identities to harass them. The actual standards for an abuse of process claim are absurd, though.
The place for it would be California using their anti-SLAPP statute for anyone dealing with his bullshit in California.

Fair enough, depends on Wisconsin's laws too... at least in my state, it's fairly simple to sue at least dor court costs and damages, especially if the case gets outright dismissed and malice can be proven, both of which fit here.
I just hope they hurt Pat as much as they can, he's definitely earned a whipping.

The thing I'm most curious about at this point is why he's so nonchalant about the $100K+ he's borrowed from the SFWA for the lawsuit. There's no way they've just given him that money, no strings attached but his tone in the interviews would seem to suggest that. He only seems concerned about potentially having to pay quasi's legal fees.

Because nothing phases this delusional psycho. He's completely convinced himself that he is not wrong in any way, shape or form, and that the only way he'll really "lose" is if he has to pay Quasi the money. Even after his case is thrown out, he'll still believe he won in his head. "We got exactly what we wanted, child" without ever explaining what that "everything" is.
Even after everyone in the world tells him that it's over and that he should just stop engaging them, he will still continue responding to literally every single text, tweet and email that comes his way calling him fat, because he'll always be the superhero in the action movie that are the psychotic delusions in his head.
