If they would shut up and leave others alone the lockdown could end. It's about ridiculing and mocking those who do the same to me, because their goal is mandates, and mine is choice. They're not compatible outcomes, so I'm giving back what my enemies are giving me. If being nice worked we wouldn't be here.

I posted this in the other coof thread about a new corona strain in the UK.

Basically like a very bad flu. I had it last week and I have bad arse hard as fuck immune system and never get ill from colds or flu and this gave me the same arse kicking that OG rona did back in dec 19. Very, VERY similar to Rona.

I'm guessing this is just a very bad flu strain that is kicking peoples arses because we haven't been exposed to any flu or cold for 18 months. Lots of friends and locals currently have this cold, I'm over it because I have the immune system of a honey badger.

I posted ITT a few months back an article from Portugal, about kids getting very sick from illness they should have had protection from last year but due to forcing them into a more sterile environments they never got that protection.

There are many times in my 38 year old life where i remember going a year or two without getting sick and then i got sick and a cold just being cold. Our body recognizes cold's pretty well and doesn't forget them.

I agree with this. I haven't been exposed much to shit over the last 18 months and haven't had a cold or flu since 2018 at the latest, maybe earlier. Other than rona in 19, my body hasn't been exposed to much, though I knew people were going to get ill this year with how many people were suffering bad hay fever. I have a bad feeling that a lot of the elderly and vulnerable are going to get trampled by any cold or flu they get this year.

I disagree. Firstly, an ideological war like this cannot be fought on the same level as the enemy, as you are then no different, ideologically, than they are. At that point it becomes more of a civil war, with two factions arguing over the same patch of turf, rather than seeing the bigger war. And none of that gets us out of this situation.

I've brought him up before, but I admire Ghandi for what he did, how he did it, and what lessons were learned. Up to this point, the odd scuffles that the British empire had lost, didn't change their course or direction of roflstomping half the planet. But one baldy, specky indian in a bedsheet made us stop in our tracks, rethink and change direction. Purely because this man hit us with tactics the world has never seen before; "Do whatever you want, I'm not taking part and neither is anybody else".
