It won't be nothing, but it won't be the Hollywood scenario people think could happen. Hate and distrust towards the republican establishment will increase and more regular Trump supporters will get involved in their local politics. I will disagree. What can the federal government actually do here in response? Cut off federal aid? Well, enjoy the lack of copper wiring as its economy suffers. Not to mention the hideous political cost of doing so, the likely aid from other states, etc. Actually, materially -doing- anything to Arizona over this would backfire near immediately. It's a case where yah, decertifying doesn't really do anything... but neither can the federal government really do anything.

It's fodder for political hay, but neither side can actually do anything about the other.

The corporations aren't lockstep behind Biden, he's actually costing them money by kowtowing to the left and continuing the absurd prog bullshit. In the Admin's efforts to appeal to all its base, it alienated all of them. So the corps don't really get anything to incentivize them to make the state feel the pain. Neither do they get anything by supporting them.


They'll just... stay out of it. No use pandering, won't gain them anything. No use supporting a side, won't gain anything. It's a lose-lose situation if they actively do anything.
