You'd be correct. It's been rumoured for a while, and they had been testing it as a standalone, but nothing has officially been announced. Nuaghty Dog were more focused on PS5 enhancements.

I don't remember the person actually getting the trademark.

He just taunted on doing it on Reddit. He may have been doxed previously which is why he wouldn't care, but never actually did anything.
The USPTO database also only has the 2 DSPGaming dead trademarks, and no more.
