Surprise to no one that JY's understanding of animal behaviour, intelligence and training is derived from movies and other sources of fantasy.
But my beagle did write a series of novels!

Granted, they were niche fiction and a bit dryly written, but they sold quite well.

it’s hard to overstate how insane property has been in the lower mainland for the last 20+ years. Things double every 7-10 years, so if Yaniv had bought the place five years ago and just not added to the mortgage, he’d have a fairly sizable nest egg. 360K is also at the very very bottom of the property ladder — a small condo in an outlying area. In Vancouver itself his unit would be more like 500K and up — way up if he wants a desirable area. Freestanding houses start at over a million and rise rapidly.

he appears to owe as much as the assessed value (which will be lower than its market value but not by a ton). That’s unusual unless he bought it last week, and suggests he’s been taking out equity. Mama Yaniv bought the condos with the sale proceeds of a Surrey townhome so he should have started with some equity.

His long term plan might be to let the condo go and try to grift into subsidized housing. ETA: the more I think about it the more I really think this is what he wants to do. Oger and a bunch of his heroes live in non-market housing downtown (BC housing, co-ops) and he would much rather live there than where he does. Of course getting those units usually means you’ve got some combination of connections and actual needs. But it fits with his self-image as a respected trans disability advocate.
Agree. The housing bubble here in Greater Vancouver is insane and shows no sign of slowing even with laws put in place to prevent real estate speculation of the 'buy a house leave it empty for 10 years till the value doubles then sell it' kind that the Chinks were pulling with no mercy.

As a minor PL I bought me and my wife's townhouse on lease-hold land which essentially means I own the building but not the land it is on. Generally prices are lower for this type of property, and I paid $105,000 in 2003 for a 3-level 3 bedroom with top-floor balcony townhouse, which really was a steal then. When we sold in in 2011 when divorcing, we sold it for $250,000 even after living in it for 8 years. Couldn't believe it. for lease-hold it's insane. It's almost certainly worth half a million now.
Our mortgage was tiny so we both ended up with over 100k each. The Yaniv's however, will probably make next to nothing if they sell their place now with what they currently owe. Mind you they might not have a choice if they aren't making their mortgage payments. It'll be sell it now and get something, or lose it all when the bank seizes it.

If he has no equity then he has no down payment.
Can you imagine him filling out papers for homeloan?
They won't accept the same financials he's used for the court.
Who's name is the loan in for his place?
He'll NEVER own a place again once he's outta the condo

Equity...
My maths isn't the greatest but yaniv bought his flat 1st Sept 2017 @ *$309,000. 4 years on he's claiming he's $340,00 in debt ($42K being credit cards as of Jan 2021) so it seems he's paid off practically sweet FA on his mortgage.

If he's getting stung by the credit card company due to non-payment I'd imagine his credit card debt is much higher by now.

When I bought a decade ago you could get a (highly unfortunate looking) west side free-standing house for under a million. Hahahahahaha

hahaha

sigh.

Mortgage standards are tough in Canada. He doesn't qualify for a mortgage. And he couldn't afford to buy anything. Property ownership is out. He probably does have equity; I think he could sell that condo for more than 340K, especially if it wasn't a fire sale.

If anyone wants to fork over the $12 they can pull his title.

Just realized if Jonathan is constantly "documenting" all his pump fuckups in social media, he can use it later to potentially sue the pump manufacturer.

I can't arse myself to find the running list of his lawsuits (it's over 200 last time I checked, I remember some mainstream media covering him and the headline added "Vancouver woman who has over 200 lawsuits" something something. )

If he's lost so many medical malpractice suits, surely any judge would be sus, but I am not cuckistanian so I don't know if judges are supposed to treat each new case individually, or all those losses work against him?

Individually, unless they show clear precedent directly related to the case. What I'm surprised about is he hasn't been filed for vexatious litigation.

Lol. My niece is on an insulin pump. AFAIK they don't work like he's suggesting. They don't automatically give you insulin, well at least hers doesn't. You count carbs at mealtime and dial in the required units of insulin, which then pumps into you.

The whole point of it is to avoid having to inject insulin at each meal. You have a cannula inserted for ~48 hours instead. 1 needle injection every 48 hours is better than one at each time you eat. It doesn't stop you from checking your blood sugar levels or working out how much insulin to have at each meal.

I bet he feels that the pump will take care of everything automatically and he can still eat & what quantity he wants as per usual. He's mentioned "pod" so I'm assuming it's the "Omnipod" he's using.

This bozo was tweeting about hypoglycemia spells in 2019 and he still hasn't grasped management.

Right, he seems to be talking more about those intelligent pumps also known as "artificial pancreas". They are not the standard but they've been featured in quite a few viral videos recently, especially a type that is DIY'd from an old model of regular insulin pumps, so I'm betting he thinks it fits his hacker image. But as another commenter mentioned, it's more likely that he is on an Omnipod. How he scammed the Canadian health system out of that is anyone's guess. But if he's got the pod, how the fuck does he keep getting these hypoglycemia spells that require life saving Subway and McFlurries? If it was anyone else I would guess they're just forgetting to eat but I doubt lardass over here ever stops eating

Why the fuck would anyone pay for him to retweet to his mostly fake followers?

Delusional x 10.
There's enough Yaniv orbiters that some idiot will pay him 300 bucks to call himself a pedo while retweeting a Meowmix article. I'd almost say that's what Yaniv is counting on, but I don't know if he's smart enough to think of that or too narcissistic to go along with the weens. JY doesn't know the CWC strategy of making money off being a lolcow.

Shock horror, the lying moron doesn't. He can't. Not unless he refuses to do what almost every diabetic does these days and buy a 20 quid blood sugar monitor.

They're not controlled medical devices, you don't have to get them from a doctor. Even go on Amazon, there are dozens to choose from.

As happens so often the idiot is lying about stuff literally millions of people know he is lying about.

He definitely has one, or said he has one, if he has a pump. He also got a course and a package of informaiton in how to use it. He gave his blood sugar reading as 2.2, so either he's got a blood sugar monitor or he's making that up (or both).

He might be giving himself hypoglycemic spells on purpose. Pretty easy to do if he's on insulin. He just gives himself too much, hey presto.
