The short answer is that we don't know for sure and probably never will considering she's a lying liar who lies.

She doesn't make enough from superchats and her channel isn't big enough to fund her lavish lifestyle, especially considering all the food she inhales off screen. I don't believe chins has ever mentioned inheriting any money, but it wouldn't really matter if she did, she'd have blown it all on food and consumerist crap immediately. Much like with ALR, people have speculated that she sells videos to feeders on the side to make ends meet, but I'm highly skeptical of this. If she was selling feeder porn, something certainly would've leaked by now. More importantly, she wouldn't be able to keep her mouth shut about it if she was.

What we do know for sure (as sure as you can be with her anyways) is that she's prone to liberally using/abusing credit and has no problem with getting herself into substantial credit card debt. I personally believe that she's spending her YouTube money immediately on Nader's rent and fast food, and that everything else is put on a credit card that she pays the minimum on until she has no choice but to either beg her nearly estranged family or go bankrupt. The live has been a whole lot of waffling without saying much outright. As previously covered, she was pretty nasty to James and blamed him for a chunk of her unhappiness. She spent the whole time visibly struggling with herself whether or not to expose Nader or keep him around.

She admitted that she is scared that Nader is her only chance at having a boyfriend, so she's hesitant to end the relationship.

She admitted that she's jealous and upset that the VIBs and her audience like Nader, that she feels like her channel and reputation are suffering because of the abuse arc, but that Nader's channel and reputation are undamaged and it isn't fair.

The biggest "reveal" about the abuse is that everything she texted Shannon was true. I believe Chantal thinks that Shannon leaked their messages, but she only released a couple and they didn't contain any details. Those are the highlights from the live so far. I'm posting this as she and James are ordering dinner.

Lets not forget the times she completely ignores him when he starts talking to the point where she forgets to order his food. She treats James like an emotional punching bag and a handmaid. Let us not forget that Chantal admitted a few weeks ago, that there was a time period where she was having a "muh mentalz" moment and Peetz supported her financially. She then professed that Peetz is family and that's "just what you do". Just like she begged Peetz to be her roommate, I'm sure she wholeheartedly encouraged him to try to take time off from work. He's working again but I think at reduced hours. Whatever storyline gets her the most sympathy: "I'm a great friend, supporting Peetz." or "I'm so mentally exhausted, Nader and Peetz are taking advantage of me.
