Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

In most respects, this exchange is simply ridiculous. The only thing being said that rustles my jimmies is where they are now accusing Chuck of "ableism," because he has the audacity to suggest that maybe a different approach should have been taken towards this autistic individual.

Oh, here it is, that's the part I missed.
Because so far, all I had was "Autistic fan screamed at rando VA, Security did nothing, Chuck criticized Security, therefore Chuck bad" and it made no fucking sense.

So basically Chuck is ableist because he thinks someone's autism shouldn't be overlooked... Yeah right... Twitter logic...

Abel the Disabled forgets that Chuck testified how there was an anti-Vic sentiment at Funimation

Sure, some of the stuff Chuck has was conclusory and/or hearsay.

A lot of it also wasn't. "Vic told me Sabat made fun of him" would be hearsay in regards to whether Sabat made fun of Vic or not. "I heard Sabat make fun of Vic behind his back," isn't hearsay, since Chuck was a party to that event.

Abel was judged too mentally defective to serve time in jail after being convicted, so I'm not surprised.

Motion:

For the purposes of WeebWars, "abelism" shall now refer to the simple act of that idiot opening his mouth, and NOT whatever crap they're accusing Chuck of.

Can I get a second?

(Although I did find the recent shit he threw at Immaculate Ape mildly amusing. He's not wrong that Null himself showed them the door. I will award him one pity point for that).

Sure.

Also, that was just another Abelism. While, yeah, Ape was kicked, it wasn't because he was too "trashy" or whatever. Ape pozloaded my neghole, and tried to pretend he wasn't who Null knew he was. If I remember right Crumb is welcome back on the farms provided he gets the checkmark.

Which goes to show that even when Disabled Abel is right, he's also wrong.

The last time I talked to Crumb (and, mind you, this was a long time ago, so maybe things have changed) they were still claiming that they absolutely are not "our" IA account. Though that convo happened a long time ago from now, it was also a fair amount of time from when Null yeeted them.

So, unless that has changed, I don't think that's gonna happen.

It's not really that important. I thought I'd just be a nice guy and give Abel one point. After all, he probably gets so little. I ain't saying he's not a sped.

Also, Abel clearly reads this thread. Hi Abel. Maybe you should show autistic people the same compassion that the courts showed you? Think about it, buddy.

I'm so happy they didn't cave.

BACC isn't a small time con. I know there was always a certain amount of "baggage" concerning Anime Matsuri, but I dunno how much shit they could fling at BACC (sans "OMG! They invited this horrible sex predator!").

Makes me wonder whether the rest of the world has moved on, and only weirdos like us, KV, and ISWV, care about a controversy that started almost three years ago.

Most people on YouTube have moved on from this drama after Vic's court cases got dismissed. I'm surprised to see that this shit is still continuing on Twitter tho.

The Youtube shit will probably restart when the appeal comes back. I predict it will be crazy as all hell if it's reversed and remanded, but significantly more subdued if it's affirmed.

The last point is simply because I've noticed KV are pretty MIA on Youtube, and they would be the ones gloating. Twitter is much more their comfort zone. I'm sure there's a joke in here somewhere about them managing 280 characters, but not being able to figure out OBS.

Also, Esdeath is bae. I approve of your avatar.

:feels:

Alright. Which one of you faggots is taking orders directly from Vic to post here? Somebody on Twitter just said that, so it must be true. SPILL!

If you asked him to point to any post from @Svetlana, @EriMin, or @Squally, that call for harassment, you won't find it. They either drop insider information or make fun of the twitter spergs. But who cares about facts. It didn't matter in 2019, it won't matter now.

To their credit, the the defendant's lapdogs, @Shane_Yes_That_One and @Ron Toye haven't really done much either other than act like the retards they are in real life.

Pro-Vic sentiments have always dominated youtube. I can't think of any significant KickVic youtuber, even back during 2019. The closest thing you can get is Uncivil Law being critical of Ty's handling of the lawsuit, but even then he scoffed at the allegations against Vic.

Also how dare you betray your big titty elves. Or whatever.

I finally caught win of Crumbreon's stream yesterday.

Unsurprisingly, Terry Doty is a piece of shit. Less surprisingly, so is ANN.

Apparently, a neurodivergent fan of anime was going to the VA's tables and staying around longer than usual due to his inability to take social cues. Chuck, it turns out, had a son who happens to be autistic, so he knew how to approach this situation. Doty, however, sees him as a danger and at one point, heard from a third-party that "he was going to show her". Unsurprisingly, she didn't go into detail. Why, Terry?

Later, the kid posts on Facebook that he's going to A-Kon at Fort Worth and was excited that he was going to meet Doty again. But because they have no socialization skills, seven Funi voice actors (including presumably Doty) were complaining that he was a "danger" to the management and paid extra security. As soon as the kid appears, Doty goes to security and asks him to leave. When he refused, the cops started to come in, worsening the situation. Huber, knowing the kid and since he's no stranger to people with autism, was able to deflate the situation.

So why is Doty angry at Huber? Because he made her "feel bad" and "a problem". She "froze" and was so upset she was escorted by a team of security to her hotel room. These people are an embarrassment to humanity.

I did a little researching and think I might have found the A-Kon convention in Fort Worth. Sure enough, Doty and Huber were guests, as are some interesting people. Take a guess on which seven people bitched at management.

On a nice note, Sam and Quinn both appeared in the sidechat and Sam had these gems.

Also, Quinton said this:

Speaking of which, let's talk about the ANN/Quinton debacle and the "freelance journalist".

Well...

Turns out this "journalist" had not only been fired for writing articles about Quinton for The Gamer back in July, but that she was under the editorial control of...wait for it, wait for it...Lynzee Loveridge. Shocking, I know.

So anyway, they wanted to ask Quinton questions but those questions would have to go through Quinton's law firm first. Thing is, they knew the hearing was getting cancelled, but wanted to post the story anyway (despite the allegations already being nine months old) so that if you search about this on Google, they would get the first result and use it to smear the Flynns.

In Crumbreon's words, there were "50 questions" and it "read like a deposition". Quinton's lawyer sent them a statement (which Crumbreon has access to) telling them they would not answer and simply said if they publish their story, not only will Quinton's law firm go after ANN but Crumbreon will release the statement.

The ANN part starts at around 1:19:30.

YouTube and surprisingly Instagram seem to be pro Vic and Twitter, Tumblr and Reddit are cesspools which will come to a shock to everyone, I know. TikTok seems fairly 50/50ish. Most of the videos against Vic are people posting their stories about how Vic had a "creepy vibe." Wow, what testimony. Such bravery. One girl actually posted 4 videos on how she met Vic and all the negative she had to say was he was smoking a cigarette and went into a female cosplayer's room for like 5 minutes then came back out. Lock this guy up!

Also I love how the cigarette thing started with that one loser who claimed he worked at cons and Vic kept pestering him to bum a cigarette while flirting with his wife and telling him he was a worthless waste of human life because he brought Vic the wrong brand of bottled water.

Now every once and a while people sprinkle in that they saw Vic smoking. No one ever said he smoked before that. If he was a smoker he would not be able to do the autograph line with no breaks.
