Body Found in Wyoming Park ‘Consistent With the Description' of Gabby Petito - FBI confirmed - Brian Laundrie still missing, FBI searched his home

nah any true floridian knows all you need to deal with a gator is a big stick or to run zig-zagged.

i shit you not, floridians are taught Gator Safety in elementary school. he's probably fine. every alligator i've ever come across has just fuckin sat there til animal control came to net it and get it to safety.

reptiles only eat every couple of days anyway. unless he's hiding somewhere w/ no wildlife OTHER than gators, they wouldn't get hungry enough to hunt him down.
Alligators are more likely to flee than to attack anyways. The exception being mothers who think you're a threat to their nest/young, and bull males who just want you to GTFO from their territory.

They also don't "hunt" as much as sit in ambush and wait for a thirsty mammal to come to the water's edge.
stop watching movies dumbo. an apple found under a tree belongs to that tree unless there's evidence to the contrary
Legally speaking that's not true.

As much as I hate the "Brian dindu nuffin, he a good boi" sperging, legally speaking you are innocent until proven guilty, not guilty until proven innocent.

Again there is the possiblity that he gave them (or just her) bad meth. She ran into the woods, he left.

Not saying it is likely, nor is the most honorable of deeds if true.

But they did said the death was ruled to be homicide. Ain't looking good for him.

Personally, I think the 'survived 3 months in the wild' is just a tall tale. Idk if any of you read his instagram posts but he seem like a very annoying higher-than-thou doomer redditor, saying people are plague on the Earth, hiking barefoot, eating melons cuz they aren't packaged with plastic etc. All while his family owns shit like the mustang.
I'm still sticking to my belief that he's not in the reserve or anywhere near and possibly has some other family helping him.
He was on a mission to save the desert by giving it some fertilizer.. his girlfriend. He's a good earther.

Ahhh... I didn't realize there were experts in the field of "What people who are talking about Gabby Petito should be talking about"ology. What degree would they hold for that?

Even if he DIDN'T do it, intentionally leaving a mentally unstable woman behind with no way to reach anyone in the Grand Tetons is a shitty thing to do, and he could likely still be charged for some sort of negligence.
If he had left this "mentally unstable" woman behind odds are we wouldn't be having this discussion thread. The coroner wouldn't have preliminary ruled it a homicide.

She was in a campground. There were other camper vans & tents there. There was the main head office at the gate. She had options of someone to contact for help.

That said, given that it was her van and he was a self pronounced experienced outdoors man, he should have walked away, hiked, hitched or ubered into town and catch a bus back home. Tell the people at the campground head office that 'bitch be crazy' and that you are out of here. Maybe tell someone there that they might want to send someone to check on her. So even if she is threatening self harm, he is off the hook. Call up her parents and tell them to call her because he is leaving her. More verification that she is alive after you left her.

But even if he had taken the van and left her behind, it would still have been preferable to murder or even accidental involuntary manslaughter.

Young men. Don't listen to @spinach
ALWAYS LEAVE MENTALLY UNSTABLE WOMEN BEHIND
Otherwise you will be suspect #1

This thread feels like it is changing the negative to "she deserved it cause she was mentally ill and he should have broken up with her so if she got killed he wouldn't be the #1 suspect".

In my opinion she wasn't mentally ill. She just had a mental breakdown because living in a van for months on end will cause ppl to be in eachothers faces. Not saying anyone was abusive or anyone has a mental issue, just stating that if you can't get away to chill out and cool down it will cause more tension. And a day apart was probably not enough for them.

Honestly, I think he knew he was fucked the minute she was dead. Fairly attractive white chick suddenly stop posting to her instagram? Internet and 24 hour news will be on that like flies on shit after the first missed post. Not to mention investigators are biased as fuck. It's *always* the husband/boyfriend/lover/etc. If he killed her, he'll be found out, convicted, and sent to prison/death row. If it was an accident? Well, he must have done something to cause it, because a *real* man would protect his fiance. So he'll be found out, convicted (lying, not reporting, lesser crimes), and sent to prison. He kill her defending himself? Well, he's *bigger* than her. *Stronger* than her. He should have just walked away. He'll be found out, convicted, and sent to prison/death row. She off herself because mental illness? Well, he should have *known* his fiance was suffering so! He'll be found out, convicted (again, lesser, like not calling for help, etc), probation/prison time, etc.

All roads point to the end of his life either literally or figuratively. It's no wonder he clammed the fuck up and ran.

Gabby's funeral was today.

She might've been some dumb vlogger, but she didn't deserve what happened to her, and seeing her death being turned into an absolutely ridiculous media circus for clout, and clicks is just plain disgusting.
No, she didn't deserve this. Few people do. But yeah, I haven't really been following this outside of other people not shutting up about it to me. Still there's something about a country awash in violence like ours suddenly acting appalled the moment a young white women dies that strikes me as amazingly hypocritical. Never mind cynical and exploitative on the media's part.

The people most likely to be victims of violence in the US are minority men. Nobody gives a single shit. In fact I'll be even more cynical: if Petito was a fatty the media would have taken one look at her picture and decided it didn't care. The region she died in is host to hundreds of cases of missing indigenous women that aren't even being looked into, but this one white chick gets offed by her idiot boyfriend and suddenly there's a huge manhunt and they find her body in the space of a few days in the middle of the fucking wilderness.

The disparity in who we choose to care about as a society is truly, truly, fucking obvious. What happened to Petito is all the more tragic because that shit happens every single day, it just usually happens to poor brown people or white trash so nobody gives a crap.

It's *always* the husband/boyfriend/lover/etc.
There's a reason for that and that's because it's usually right. You're pretty fucked if you're that one innocent guy in that situation, though, because once a cop gets an idea in his pointy little head it tends to stay there.

It's only 'always the husband/boyfriend/lover' because they're the first point of call for such things, anything else and the chances of it being unresolved go WAY up.

If you go out and stab a random (and I mean literally random, not even picking a 'random' enough target) person to death, as long as nobody saw you do it, the chances of you getting away with it are surprisingly high.

There's cold case files you could stack from here to the moon from people that weren't murdered by the obvious others.

So even if it wasn't Brian, he'd still spend the rest of his life as the prime suspect no matter what.
