Just here to add, in Canada DV is taken seriously and I believe charges are filed by law enforcement, not the victim. I could be wrong but pretty sure this is the case

It can go any number of ways. Thing is they will have asked her pointed questions. If they ask for confirmation of what she said on the video,,,they usually need to investigate. She can t say she never said that,. Imagine them asking her the name of the man she was in a relationship with, bet she d have a case of the shits then! These are common questions., the potential consequences of which will be awesome either way. For Her or for Him.

I believe he's known to police, what with his history, so they might have other reasons to take it seriously. And yes, police/the crown file charges, not the victim. Victims only report. However, I'm not sure they can MAKE her file a report? Who knows what's really going on.

I doubt it was a wellness check. They are probably going to get more info and have her sign a protection order. Somebody reported her being abused and maybe threatened with death based on the fake text.
I’m not sure how it works in Canada but in the US, two people in a fight can’t choose whether to prosecute each other, that’s the cops prerogative. See the Gabby film.
I’m sure if it was an arrestable offense they were already at Nader’s home but it may not be anything like that-maybe in Canada the police can urge you to do a protective order and don’t need to talk to Nader? They are probably sick of coming to her house.

She lost her lover, who she really wanted and was just temporarily annoyed with, so she’s going to have to go hard on the abuse story. She’ll cry. Saying she still loves him. She’ll never admit it wasn’t as bad as she says and it’s all because his YouTube is better.

She should be scared. I'm not a legal eagle, but it seems that making false accusations is serious business anywhere. Not to mention the amount of resources that will be wasted on her lies - police visits to the villa, police time to fill out reports and investigate allegations, an advocate coming to talk to her. Although, cockroach that she is, there will likely be few consequences for her with any of this. Also, she's so stupid, I'm not sure she comprehends how deep she is burrowing into the shit.
