Maybe I'm too pessimistic, but with how aggressively they're pushing the "Biden won by bigger margins after the audit" line, I'd say that is their narrative. They know the full audit is liable to fuck them over, so they want to claim that the hand recount (which is just going through potentially bad ballots again) vindicates them and push that narrative as fast and hard as they can in the name of making election reform laws seem pointless before the full audit releases and potentially exposes an unfair election.

It being a red state is what allowed them to investigate. The foul play was worse in other states but their local governments wouldn't let anyone do anything to find out. Even in red-purple Arizona it was an uphill battle to get any information at all. Some districts destroyed their voting data to avoid it being audited.

I mean, look at @Jet Fuel Johnny results - 300 votes of dead people were counted. So yes, 300 votes were counted that shouldn't have been - but that wouldn't substantially altered the outcome. (I'm not addressing any of the other numbers because I haven't done any looking into to be able discuss them or what they mean in any sense; much like "THERE WERE 500,000 COVID DEATHS IN 2019! That makes COVID nearly as deadly as... public transit")

I guess what I'm saying is I hate when you've got people screaming massive fraud - there's no more shit going on in 2020 than there was in 2019. Look at Florida's election system and the massive unwinding of fucky votes there for like 2 decades. That wasn't deep state political intrigue. It was a bunch of lazy, incompetent civil servants promoted to their positions because of "diversity" or political backroom deals, being lazy and imcompetent (often to the detriment of the Democrats). It's still wrong, but its not new.

But I also hate the people screaming "America's elections are rock-solid" - because they fucking aren't. And its especially infuriating when most of those people were screaming "Muh Russia" for four years. But the fact they are so completely fucked up is what prevents the process from being completely subverted. There is no single point of failure to go after. If you want to compromise results you have whack-a-mole so many districts and polling places.

We really need election reform. We need to reform everything from campaign finance to vote counting to ballot design. But both sides are just screaming at each other instead of screaming for needed fixes.

California Homelessness is a hard nut to crack. I was talking about this recently. Its not like other parts of the country where the homeless are all addicts, mentally ill, criminals, or otherwise parasiting the economy. There are those too, but look at some of the interviews with California homeless - you have people earning $80,000 as secretaries or cleaning staff unable to afford housing, so they live in their car or a tent on highway property because the weather is nice so fuck watching three-quarters of what's left of their paycheck after state taxes are done with it evaporate into rent.

So its not like other states where you can just make blanket "Get off the streets" programs because a good portion of the people are actual tax paying citizens who just can't afford housing. My friend knows a guy who earns something like $160,000/year and lives in an RV parked on the street Monday through Thursday because he didn't have $5 million for a house with a yard, and it was better to camp in an RV than drive the 3 hours it took to get to the house he bought for his family. (Well, I guess lived. I'm assuming he's not doing that shit thanks to Rona Chan)
Thanks to being in a natural disaster zone, and a fucking spit of little better than desert with water supplies already taxed beyond limits, to speak nothing of the rest of the infrastructure, you can't just build more housing. Really the only fix is to just enact a California-only Purge night.

And let's be fair here. Newsom didn't create the mess. The California Assembly (state congress) did, and they've been creating it since the midninties when the granola sect took power. But he didn't do anything to make it better and definitely helped as they dug the hole a few feet deeper.
