Meanwhile, today the Republicans stopped Schumer from holding a vote to suspend the debt limit, that would've had a mere 51-vote threshold, and the vote for the infrastructure bill is on Thursday.

I was going to say "Doomed to failure" but then the next post. Literally echoes of that time in 1985 when they dragged a gaunt Konstantin Chernenko to a ballot box to vote in view of TV cameras when he was weeks away from death.
