Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

I would say that these morons forgot that Senators are supposed to represent their state and not their party, but they probably simply don't give a shit.
John McCain or Jeff Flake cuck out: "he's a maverick, he's principled, he puts country over party!"

Sinema and Manchin don't toe the DNC line: "they betrayed the party!"

I don't think trying to pork barrel shit while everyone knows you're broke is a good move DNC, the Republicans can survive a fiscal shutdown. Not you.
A bonus point is that as the federal government becomes more and more ideologically polarized towards democrat membership, the disparity in survivability should increase - Doubly so when Republican voters are more likely to go "Lol good" to a spending freeze while the Left screeches about how this cut off the supply of free heroin to California drug programs.

CNN article, but since they work for the admin now I guess this might as well be an insider's scoop. It certainly reads like one with the amount of references to anonymous admin staff. I'll put some choice highlights here.

Biden's talks with Congressmen:
"He has ended some calls and meetings vocally frustrated at the inability to nail down certain Democrats, aides said, but has been encouraged after others that a deal is in sight. Despite the crush of deadlines, one official described the President as "not really too high, not really too low -- he understands the tempo and pace in how these kinds of things play."

In his conversations with lawmakers, people describe Biden doing a lot of the talking. He has underscored how popular individual aspects of his plan are, like combating climate change and tax breaks for childcare. He's spoken at length about the potential to dramatically improve conditions for tens of millions of Americans. And he's used blunt terms to convey his expectations that Democrats stick together -- and stay united behind him.
General Situation/Congress's POV:
"It may not be by the end of the week," Biden responded when asked how he would define success at the end of this week. "I hope it's by the end of the week."

Messaging memos, briefings and a stream of polling have been directed to congressional Democrats in recent weeks in an effort to shift what has been seen as critical elements of pitching the proposal that have been engulfed by battles over topline numbers and intraparty disputes.

"This is the moment for him to step up," one House Democrat told CNN. "Meetings aren't enough -- he's the President and we should know exactly what he wants and where we're going."
Manchin/Sinema:
Sinema has created stacks of spreadsheets tracking the costs and potential tax increases linked to each provision in the large spending bill, according to people familiar with the matter, which she uses in talks with administration officials to explain her concerns.

The precise details of Biden's discussions with Manchin and Sinema have been closely held as all sides work to preserve privacy in the hopes of cultivating trust among the participants. But people familiar with Biden's approach say he has consistently drawn upon his long experience as a senator in how he speaks and interacts with lawmakers, mindful of the particular amount of space and latitude each requires.

A separate White House official bristled at the idea Biden could "just snap his fingers and say, 'I'm President, get in line.'" "Not sure who thinks trying to jam Manchin and Sinema is a great plan, but it certainly isn't viewed as an effective approach here," the official said.

One thing about Milley "The military doesn't want to figure out which orders are legal" is fucking bullshit.

Even as a dumb as fuck lower enlisted, before I made E-4 Mafia status, I still attended more than one class discussing lawful and unlawful orders.

Has Milley even been in the military?
"No but so what? Trump dodge the draft reeeeeee."
