Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Well Spooky Month has officially started and I already have my spooky avatar set but my avatar is nowhere near as spooky as the fact that the US seems to be ruled by a wine aunt that spends most of her day completly shit drunk, a senile old man that already has one foot set in the grave, a cackling witch that loves slave labour, an Army General that has never seen real action and worst of all, an entire legion of bureaoucrats and politicians that allow this.
And the spookiest thing about all of this is that they don't hold any special loyalty or liking to eachother so as soon as one of them fucks up they bring out the knives regardless of the consequences to the US since they don't care about their nation, they only care about themselves, well with the exception of the senile old man, I don't think he knows what the fuck is going on, he just wants his ice-cream to eat and children to sniff.

people talking about how manchin is one of the few blue dog democrats left got me thinking about just how recent the "fall" of the democrats has been. as recent as the 1990's the democrats were using the battle flag in campaign ads.

The white rooster became a sort of mascot for state level democrats in the old days. most of the time associated with jim crow and the lost cause. this was the logo of the AL Democrats until 1966:

the old democrat machine survived for a good while. I know for a fact that the good old boy schemes lasted until the 2000's in my part of the state. we still have lingering ripples of that now. everyone here is a registered democrat because that was what they told us to register as in school. "register as what your parents are" for everyone in this part of the state that means democrat. all the way back to the 1850s. Trump shook that up though. lots here changed their registration.

At this point, I'm leaning toward both bills dying. The Biden admin has absolutely nothing to offer anyone. Just refer to the recent polling as proof of that. The progs have nothing to lose, so there's no reason for them to back off their commie retardation. Grandpa Joe is bringing new meaning to the term Lame Duck Presidency.
I think it's the most likely outcome as well. At this stage neither the progressives nor Manchin/Sinema have any reason to back down: there's no leverage to use against the senators and the progressives have dug themselves a hole where any retreat now will hurt them among their base. Compromise won't win any favours, and primary season being around the corner demands a certain level of stubborn zealotry.

For all intents and purposes these bills are dead.

We wanted it to be a world of Auguste clowns, and instead it's a world of Blanc clowns.
There was a power outage a work today (for 3 seconds at most. As they should communications kept intact) a coworker immediately said "the feds are coming for the bill", I without really thinking blurted out "they just kicked the can again". It's stupid and you had to be there.

The first time I thought 'clown world' (not the exact phrase but close enough) was Donald fucking Trump from The Apprentice becoming first the Republican nominee and the President. I was resigned to Clinton winning anyway and thought the whole thing was a joke and the Republican Party was dead after 8 years of Obama, so it was extremely funny that Trump of all people had become President and then I just tuned out of politics until around 2018. Christ, things seemed so much more innocent even 4 years ago.

I'd say it was a process that began with 2004 solidifying the Red State vs Blue State dynamic and intensified through the Obama years. Most of the Blue Dogs got wiped out in the 2010 red wave which left the remaining Democrats as the woke shitlib Democrat we all know and love today.

Okay, Something that has been bothering me with this whole bill drama thing that has been eating up the news like crazy, why did the democrats create this problem to begin with?

No seriously, first of all, we still don't have a clear and tangible idea of what this bill that aim to spend over 5 trillion bucks is hoping to accomplish, nor it was something that was campaign on or that the people are clamoring upon, since no one really knows what it really does.

Yes, I know there was the "build back better" shit, but it is meaningless campaign jargon, like "yes we can" or "Make America Great Again", all people wanted from Biden was to not be Trump and stop covid.

And yet, here we are, all hubabalub over some crazy spending bill, something that americans were never crazy about no matter red or blue, and now that is the hinge point to see if Biden's administration is a failure or not, a hinge point that was never really necessary in the first place.

I heard the argument that Biden wants a legacy, something to build statues upon, the new FDR bullshit, and while politicians are indeed narcissists fucks, simple logic would say that the time and problems FDR was facing and today's global economy are not compatible for a similiar solution isn't that right? So isn't just being a capable administrator and responsible with the publicmachine isn't good enough for being president? Maybe get a head start on medi care, expand on obama care, I dunno, something more realistic and tangible, and I would think most of his cabinet would say something similiar right?

Instead this adm created this monster that makes no sense, and is set to be the mark of failue one way or the other for Biden, and i just don't get why.

This isn’t a parody? I…how…?????????
It's clown world.
He can pretty much say whatever and the media will swoop in with whatever post-hoc rationalization. Barring that: they'll just ignore it.
If Biden ever actually gets a hold of the account supposed to be representing him and Tweets "sniffing little girls' hair is GOOD" the media will either explain, in some convoluted way, how the Experts ™️ agree or they'll just pretend it didn't happen.

Build Back Better is actually not meaningless. It's the motto of The Great Reset plan, the "4th industrial revolution." tl;dr on that: They want to social engineer America and the EU into being bugmen urbanites living in apartment complexes, owning nothing, while the beautiful people are allowed to live in mansions far away from the rabble.

As for why they did all this, they can't tell you the ACTUAL reason why -- they're embezzling. All the infra plan is supposed to do is fund various hard lefty causes and pay back what the DNC owes. They rigged an election. They shut down a country for a year. They had their media allies completely shut down all discussion of anything that would be remotely embarrassing for them. They had their tech and banking allies deplatform and unperson everyone that opposed them. All that shit costs. And now that they have power again, they figure you and I should cover the bill.

As I understand it, it's about political capital.

The Biden Administration, even if you believe, somehow, that the election was legit, didn't come through with a mandate. Its policies are wildly unpopular, it won't negotiate in any real capacity, and it doesn't have the muscle to grease the wheels sufficiently to get what it wants. The hope, when they squeezled their way into office, was that they'd get rid of Trump and then be able to bank on things pushing in the right direction, with enough going right that they'd be able to secure a win to get what they wanted down the line. They needed some big event they could use to secure political capital, and they'd locked onto Afghanistan's pullout as a way to make it happen, but that fucked up and left them pantsed on the national dtage.

With no political capital, most of the Biden admin's big policies are DOA. Worse, the fuckup of Afghanistan had a knock-on effect and as other fuckups have stacked up, it forced a major rift between the operating apparatuses of the Dems and their handlers. They're collectively in a state of conflict now, and are in a mad, desperate dash to accomplish something - anything - to keep the wheels of the machine from flying off prior to the midterms.
