Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

I don't see the last election as any less legitimate than 2016.

I've read through two independent state audits so far, quit after that.

What convinced you otherwise?

DIFFICULTY: Cannot be a Youtube video by Poopy Pie or whatever the fuck their name is.
I'm not bothering to justify myself to what is self-evidently a shitpost.

That said: A victory by a hair-thin majority (which is what the victory was even if legit) does not translate into a fucking mandate.

So, to get rid of Trump, the dems paid a really high price eh? You think they are at least a bit aware of how much damage they inflicted upon themselves to get Biden on the WH?
Most Dems lack any kind of self awareness. The idea that they disemboweled themselves to get Trump out is probably impossible for them to hold.

Or they are in denial. That works.

Gehenna probably has a more nuanced view that leadership does in fact know they royally screwed themselves.
Oh, they are -aware-. Even the rank and file. The leadership has a better grasp and understanding, but even the rank and file has begun to understand. Why do you think their vitriol is ratcheting up to new levels over vaccine mandates? Why is it their agitation is only growing despite controlling the government right now?

Everyone is, to some degree, aware of the price. They are also all aware, to some degree, it's not being paid.

Foolish, short-sighted... the twin follies at work. Any crisis, any major or even moderate disaster that occurs is going to break the system in these places.

I don't comment here, I mostly lurk and read @Gehenna comments (he eases my mind a lot thank you) but I just want to say how much I love Rand Paul. We need more like him.
You are welcome may you find solace in these trying times.

@Gehenna What are your thoughts on this bullcrap lol given that Elder and Trump have ran on policy and Elder pretty much in a short time with a stronger right wing outlook managed to scare the Democrats compared to cuckservative John Cox about three years ago.

California is lost to the Republicans, but Elder showed the strongest possible showing he could have. Only to get nearly identical results. All that article is designed to do is sow some dissent into the Republican ranks because the powers that be realized that the GOP now knows California is a lost cause, and the last thing those powers want is the refocusing of money that will result.

@Gehenna, any thoughts on what this'll do to the Democrat civil war? Because if I'm following correctly, Pelosi and the like are most likely pissed right now, and this means that they're most likely gonna go full scorched-earth on the progs. And if I'm right, oh boy is that gonna be fun.....
Don't be so sure. Biden's brain is mush and they know it. Unless it was Jill siding with the progs, they know he'll forget the support for one side by breakfast the next day. He's only being pulled out for the photo op, while congress screams at eachother and makes no progress.

@Gehenna Sounds like some people are getting pissy about insider info spilling out left and right...

Doesn't surprise me, my employer got called up by a couple of powerful people screaming at him for leaking their mince meat version plans. He did something interesting... he laughed them off.

I concur completely.

Let's fuck some shit up.

Abbott was blocking the crossings with state troopers but I doubt it actually did much aside from the optics of a silly amount of police cars lined up along the Rio Grande. They probably just handed them over to the feds who then just released them anyway.
We are sort of in a shitty situation. We can't just guns drawn and mow them over. Without the backing of the president and the media, Texas really can't make a move to stop it. Furthering, I've talked to a few folks native to Mexico and still live there, they are tired of the immigrants flooding into their country; they got enough problems. Biden and his administration seem to not care and it is through that uncaring that has neutered and muzzled the dog.

Time for insiders to buy old school voice recorders.
I'm pretty certain, if I were in Congress, I'd have a separate audio recorder on me at all times. Mostly because I don't like to misremember things, the rest is just frosting on the cake.

What did you think of Howard Dean's 50-state strategy? Would the Republicans even be able to pull it off in anyway?

Karma is a bitch, ain’t it? Lmao I have zero sympathy for beaners who are upset over sub-75 IQ tards invading after they’ve been sending their MS-13 gangsters and chomos over for decades. Welcome to the globohomo ride, Mexicanos. Buckle up, it’s gonna be a bumpy one.

It worked exactly once and has failed since. Nobody was expecting an assault on every single position available so it caught the opposition off guard. The problem is that once it was expected, it could be countered through strategic usage of money.

Personally I think illegals caught crossing the border in these numbers should be treated the same way as rioters and met with a lot of tear gas and then a skirmish line of batons if they haven't fucked right off. But seeing how the media threw a shitfit about horse reins even that wouldn't be optically possible.

Exactly. I know there are a lot of Texans that want that to happen and also just close the border down all together. But, as it stands right now, we might as well not even have a border.

They can stop it, it would just be an act of war against the feds, which is probably not timely.

Maybe some landmines and claymores. What about turret towers with M60's.

400,000 is not a "migrant caravan" it's a fucking invading army.

It's over twice the amount for Operation Overlord.

It's more than Iraq and Afghanistan invasions.

It's more than Desert Storm.

It's not 'migrants', it's a fucking Army that knows if they overwhelm the system, nobody will do shit to them.

It's an invasion, plain and simple.

They've moved over a MILLION into the country alone this year that we know of.

And Biden has now decided that just being here illegally isn't enough to deport someone.

They are literally surrending and opening their legs for an invading army.

Don't let them fool you. Don't let them frame it as 'immigration', this is an invasion, plain and simple.

I would like to see Elder run again and do it again for the lulz since this state is in the shitter and probably converted a lot of people to offset all those conservatives that left and without a Trump endorsement. Anything that fucks with California Democrats is a bonus.

I don't know any other GOP candidates who had a real good enthusiasm behind him other than DeSantis and Trump in recent memory.

This might make @Gehenna eye twitch.

There's a secondary, and frankly, equally important reason they never used it again, in addition to what @Gehenna said - which is that as a whole, the DNC fucking hated the 50-state strat. There's a few reasons they hated it.

First is the fact that the DNC relies on its shitty "only stronghold states matter" strategy because it's part of what kept the Uniparty functional. It helped keep the early progressives and oldschool dems who wanted to fix shit out, and kept the establishment hacks in. Conversely it also helped justify all those Blue Dog triangulators.

Second, it cost the DNC money to actually do, and if there's one thing the DNC hates more than its own constituents, it's having to spend more money, even if there's a payoff.

There's a reason that the second it was successful once, the DNC kicked Dean the fuck out. Gehenna's quite right that it was likely to only work once before being compensated for, but the DNC's hatred for it had a lot to do with why it got abandoned.
