Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

The DNC's current chair is this guy:

Never heard of him? Me neither. This right here is Jaime Harrison, who only ran for a political position once in his life, and got defeated by Lindsey Graham.
That's pretty crazy when you think about it. I mean how many of us didn't hear about was it Kelly Wasserman-Schultz, Howard Dean (he was a head once right?), and ...uh I forgot who ever was this guy's predecessor. Had a Hispanic surname, wore glasses, was an obnoxious blowhard (yeah, I know not the most useful description to go by), but my point is I heard from those people much as I didn't want to. I have no idea who this guy is.

Then again, I don't know who the current RNC chair is either.

Ronna Romney-McDaniel — referred primarily by the second surname, but the relation is there was the first.

She's another RINO; she scammed naïve Trumpers out of their cash by pretending to fight for Trump, especially during the election chaos.

Of course, the party chair is not necessarily the party leader. They're just the one who has to organize all the graft and corruption that the actual leader decrees must happen.

Yeah I know, I'm just pointing out that I don't even know who the DNC chair is. That's how ridiculous things are. You would expect the DNC chair to be making the round in the media regardless of what actual power they have. Instead it's mainly Pelosi and Biden and you know how things go anytime they try to sell us something. Schumer is doing god knows what. It's simply pathetic any way you look at it.

I don't agree that in a civilised society, we act like animals or worse, like criminals ourselves. It makes us stoop to their levels, makes us less than human and shows hypocrisy on massive levels. I have a big problem with countries like America having the death penalty, while also making murder illegal.

While I'm not religious, I don't believe we should put ourselves in the position of Gods, or Nature. We have no right to take another life, as much as that life has no right to take another.
The Christian argument for the death penalty is that God sets up governmental powers (even very bad ones) to enact justice, so they do have a limited right/responsibility to act like God when it comes to punishment for crimes. I have mixed feelings on the death penalty as well, but basically we are trying to find the harshest we can be without letting them off easy or mistakenly punishing people who are wrongly accused. That last part is mainly why I think we should be very careful with the death penalty - it's just too easy to get it wrong.

But then you have parole boards just cutting everyone loose because it's not fair that anyone should be locked up. Crazy.

Basically I don't think there's anything wrong with the death penalty if it is taken seriously and done transparently before the people. Which is why Kevin Williamson (former National Review writer) argues that we need to bring back hanging. He thinks the injections are too sterile and easy to wash our hands of the horror, the dirty business that is required to keep peace. War and execution should be something we all know why it's done and see when it's important and when it's unnecessary. We shouldn't offload it to someone else so we don't have to deal with it. I get that view.

Women's march targets Supreme Court, with abortion on line

The first Women's March of the Biden administration heads straight for the steps of the Supreme Court on Saturday, part of nationwide protests demanding continued access to abortion in a year when conservative lawmakers and judges have put it in jeopardy.

Thousands of women filled a square near the White House for a rally before the march. Many waved signs that said “Mind your own uterus," “I love someone who had an abortion" and “Abortion is a personal choice, not a legal debate,” among other messages.

Some wore T-shirts reading simply “1973," a reference to the landmark Roe v. Wade decision, which made abortion legal for generations of American women.

Elaine Baijal, a 19-year-old student at American University, took cellphone photos with her friends and their signs as the event started. She said her mother told her of coming to a march for legal abortion with her own mother in the 1970s.

“It’s sad that we still have to fight for our right 40 years later. But it’s a tradition I want to continue," Baijal said of the march.

Organizers say the Washington march will be among hundreds of abortion-themed protests around the country Saturday. The demonstrations come days before the start of a new term for the Supreme Court that will decide the future of abortion rights in the United States, after appointments of justices by President Donald Trump strengthened conservative control of the high court.

The march is part of “a fight to secure, safeguard, and strengthen our constitutional right to an abortion,” Rachel O'Leary Carmona, executive director of the Women's March, said in a statement. “And it’s a fight against the Supreme Court justices, state lawmakers, and senators who aren’t on our side - or aren’t acting with the urgency this moment demands.”

The march comes a day after the Biden administration urged a federal judge to block the nation’s most restrictive abortion law, which has banned most abortions in Texas since early September.

It's one of a series of cases that will give the nation's divided high court occasion to uphold or overrule Roe v. Wade.
An opponent of women's access to abortion called this year's march theme “macabre.”

“What about equal rights for unborn women?” tweeted Jeanne Mancini, president of an anti-abortion group called March for Life.

The Women's March has become a regular event - although interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic - since millions of women turned out in the United States and around the world the day after the January 2017 inauguration of Trump. Trump endorsed punishing women for getting abortions and made appointment of conservative judges a mission of his presidency.

Without Trump as a central figure for women of varied political beliefs to rally against, and with the pandemic still going strong, organizers talk of hundreds of thousands of participants nationally Saturday, not the millions of 2017.

Latina comedian and activist Cristela Alonzo will host the rally in the capital, which will feature speakers from Planned Parenthood and other advocates and providers of abortion access. Actress Busy Philipps and swimmer Schuyler Bailar are due to take part.

Daily reminder that the 1/6 guys are currently under month 9 of illegal torture for doing what the Women's March did in 2018, with absolutely 0 people being arrested for that. In fact, the mere idea of having some lefty femoid supremacists be arrested for activism is unthinkable.

Edit: My bad, a small percentage were arrested, not charged, and released all on the same day:

The USSC seriously needs to start making rulings that give power back to the states or this shit is only going to get worse when things start swinging back rightwards. These idiots are the very definition of the people for whom their good intentions are paving the pathway to Hell.

Way to admit Trump was the glue holding you together guys.

STOP BEING WHORES. It's really that simple. Imagine being so retarded and demonic that instead of insisting on a condom or birth control you would rather have someone shove a vacuum up your cooter.

McVeigh was a lolcow and a fat retard who killed children because we wasn't allowed to wear a White Power shirt.
You just described @Null and a majority of the men on this site, hell you described a quarter of men under 40. Also is this where i mention that the kids he apparently "killed" just so happened to match the descriptions of ones taken by the finders or the fbi connection to child trafficking rings in the area?

Beyond that lets talk about how you and the other dipshits here try and say "no this time its different" everything you said for why no one wanted to join tim in saving the west then is exactly the same now. "We all had to just stick it out we just survived trump/the cold war and sure there was a recession/supply shortage but we just knew to stick it out things weren't that bad.

i guarantee you if the messaging from the media and government and commercials didn't tell you things were fucked in the 90s they certainly won't trigger that in the normies now, look where you retards are, i'm sure the 90s equivalent of this anti-government terrorist video hosting website had tons of people that just knew the collapse was just around the corner.

hell if the fucking summer of george didn't force normies to get mad and break mentally. i'm sure now that biden's in office and the riots stopped and the covid hysteria is much lower with way less restrictions (this year you get to go trick-or-treating and attend thanksgiving and go to public school!) the normies are even less likely to go apeshit than this time last year.

people here whine but this is "the good times" this is the post cold-war optimism of the 90s for the zoomer gen. the GOP is basically dead. there is a dem in office, and tv is all about being happy now. redditors can't wait to try some afghan and haitian food. society is on an upswing no matter what we edge ourselves to in the threads here saying otherwise

you can whine about the tyrannical government destroying people's lives over COVID and the vax but the numbers show thats not true and its affects way less people than the post-cold war job loss did. people are so greatful for things being mostly normal again that doing without some junk food for a few months is just an added bonus.

Ah, yes, it was all a child trafficking scam and heroic McVeigh blew them up to save them.

Look, that fat retard was set up, yeah, because he sure as shit didn't learn his fucking bomb making skills with 1st Infantry, and he flunked SF because he was a fat fuck to the point he gained weight during Desert Storm. He got mad that the brothers could wear their Africa shit and their Black Power shit, so instead of actually trying to do something useful, he wore a White Power shirt and acted like a sped when EVERYONE hated those skinhead faggots in the ranks.

He's not a hero. He's a fuckup from day one.
Beyond that lets talk about how you and the other dipshits here try and say "no this time its different" everything you said for why no one wanted to join tim in saving the west then is exactly the same now.
He wasn't saving shit.

Bombing the Oklahoma building accomplished exactly JACK AND SHIT except for get everyone having to listen to "white supremacy talks" in the ranks because, oh, it wasn't the FBI tooling him along, he was totally radicalized when he was in Saudi Arabia and at Fort Riley, not because he was a gigantic fat faggot.

Fuck off with that "Tim save the West" shit, when he never met an MRE he wouldn't eat.

If you're comparing Trump being in office to the cold war era you're probably off base. And most of the people here aren't retards who'd think that bombing random people would help anything.

There wasn't a "90s equivalent of this anti-government terrorist video hosting website". And you should look at where the Floyd riots affected the country before wondering why nobody got super pissed off about it, the areas they affected were almost entirely the kind of places where they buy into woke shit. It was a massive own-goal even if it was outrageous that it was just allowed to happen.

What fucking planet do you live on m8? If you think this is comparable to the post cold-war optimism of the 90s I'd love to know what kind of environment you're in to believe that shit.
you can whine about the tyrannical government destroying people's lives over COVID and the vax but the numbers show thats not true and its affects way less people than the post-cold war job loss did. people are so greatful for things being mostly normal again that doing without some junk food for a few months is just an added bonus.
Yes that's why we've got the debt ceiling being reached, supply chain shortages across the globe, and NG being called in to take the place of nurses in the U.S. with similar problems (military being used as truckers in the U.K. for instance) elsewhere. Lmao get real.

Alright, I tried to take an objective look at the $3.5T spending package (we can drop the infrastructure ruse and call it what it is), and consider it objectively.

There's some things in it I could get behind IN PRINCIPLE:
- Universal pre-school -- early education is very strongly corrolated with future success. If one program in this is actually an investment in the future, it's this.
- Free or subsidized community college (for citizens and permanent residents ONLY) -- community college is practical, much less cost inflated than university, and geared towards immediately employable professions like radiology, auto and aircraft maintenance, electronics technicians, etc.
- Medicare Dental/Vision - believe it or not, Medicare is more efficient compared to private insurance. Think economy of scale. This may actually be a macro-level savings.
Poor people already get all of this shit for free. Oregon passed a free CC law, and all of the free money went to the unambitious children of upper middle class families who wanted to wear dreadlocks and learn about gender. Everyone else was already covered under existing programs. Eventually they decided to give every qualifying student an additional $1000 per semester living stipend so that at least some of the millions of dollars they'd set aside would go to poor people.

Essentially all of these things are already done by states, and this money would just fund that more and expand it, except you can't make resources appear with money. It takes time to train people and set things up. All in all, not terrible, but not helpful. It doesn't actually provide for the infrastructure that these programs would need in order to be successful, assuming instead that infrastructure will rise up from the scattered cash. Realistically, what you will get are fake preschools, designed to drink up government money, and giveaways to insurance companies. Oh yeah, and more dangerhair cunts hiding from the workforce while they get an associates in feminist glaciology.

There's no way to resist becoming full on Socialist because their entire base is communist. The old blue dogs are rapidly aging out of life and they are being replaced by radical communist activists.

The same exact process is occuring with their voters.
They're momunists. They don't want an equal society with shared resources so much as they want an all powerful mommy to take care of them because they are permanent children.

Don't forget that government staff are being purged for not getting vaccinated and are being replaced by National Guard during a time of low employment during what's called the "Great Resignation."

Wait a minute. Who is filling in the usual jobs for the NG guys?
Take them from their day job and force them to be nurses or whatever. Hell, if they're qualified to be working in the hospitals that probably means they have a medical job.
There's a good possibility they're more-or-less forcibly removing nurses and techs from the country and making them work in the city.
