Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

I want to thank you guys for this awesome thread. I’ve lurked forever and really appreciate the company for this mass psychosis roller coaster. Just dropping a status report from the hinterlands for your anecdote files.
My family split between government pay checks and the private sector. The government workers got to “work” from home and between no commuting and even lower performance expectations their lives have dramatically improved and they never want to go back, so they are full-throated Branch Covidians.

They are all scared of me so we never talk about it, but they are bullying and threatening my dad. Withholding grandkids, accusing him of being in the “Fox News Cult”, guilt tripping him etc. General bullying aholes.

My extended family however, is now radicalizing. I noticed all my boomer aunties joining Telegram at once, so I reached out.

In this rural area no one is getting tested and no one is going to the hospital. There is a vet providing ivermectin, and they are helping each other, educating and supplying vitamin d, zinc etc. So far no one has gotten overly ill, without testing we don’t know if it’s Covid or just colds but these people are armed to the teeth, and furious.

One of my uncles has been fired so far for refusing the jab. More are expecting it.

They are not talking on Facebook. They are on private telegrams. They assume they are being monitored there as well but they aren’t getting dog-piled by cultists and they can share info.

Their natural reticence and distrust is leading to decent opsec.

They are shockingly well informed actually. From their networks they are seeing most of what’s coming through on this thread.

The family has been in the area since it was settled in the early 20th century.

This area has two layers: the settler families who all know and trust each other, and the newcomers who don’t even know the other layer exists. The settler families are WHITE HOT right now. No crazy stuff planned but there is an invisible network of support that is fascinating to watch. These are self-organizing people by nature.

They feel completely betrayed by the society they spent their lives building. I wouldn’t want to eff with them but the System is squaring up. We will lose a lot if they get ground up.

How is she only 26? She's going to look like an elderly chainsmoking bar hag before she even reaches 40. (Maybe its because of her poor heart? Now I feel bad. (But not bad enough to retract!)).

TBH, cardiologists will tell you walking is better than running. Heart would no longer allow me to run. One cardiologist, one interventional cardiologist, and one internal medicine/cardiologist independently told me walking was better. Started walking, got heart fixed, still walking.

In other news, fuck Fauci. In the mouth and ass, with a barbed-wire wound wooden dick.

I'm still trying to figure out how the vaxx can not prevent infection of transmission but losses efficacy after 6 months. Does that mean for 6 months the vaxx is suppressing symptoms and then it no longer can do that?
1) The prevention of infection & transmission is not an independent factor, but rather a time-dependent variable
Lets say hypothetically it's 100% at the two-week mark after your 2nd shot, by week 4 it's back down to 95%, by week 8 its down to 90%, by week 12 it's down to 80%, and so on until by week 24/month 6 its already <50% effective. (Now these aren't actual, numbers, these are just to show how over time one becomes more likely to catch & spread it)

2) The virus itself is aerosolized, so even if the *vaccine* is doing it's job of keeping the infection mild, and stopping it from over-powering your body's defenses before the lungs become stressed, it could still be infecting and replicating in the nose, mouth, etc. and still being exhaled, going airborne and finding a new target.
So even if the T-cells, B-cells, antibodies (and possibly interferons) are all working as planned, the virus can still spread.

3) The wild-type viruses are evolving faster than the host's immunity (be it artificial or natural*), and what we are seeing is a 6-12 month average interval until your antibodies made to jam up a spike protein are "out of date"**, so to speak.
*Those of us with natural immunity still have defenses against the Envelope and ORF1 proteins, while the vaxxed do not
**Now this doesn't mean said antibodies are useless, or that your B-cells wont eventually make a better antibody, but that it still gives the virus a window where your body's defenses aren't acting at optimum

Def peeked in High School.
At least she's not already a lardass on top of it, which is more than I can say for most of the catty "mean girl" hoes from my HS.

Gotta set up some Google Alert for news articles mentioning young people dying of undiagnosed heart conditions or something.
If we're really getting more subtle articles telling us that it's normal to see young people keel over from "undiagnosed heart conditions", then I'll definitely be concerned.
But to be honest. it'd be hilariously stupid for TPTB to do something like that. That's just creating a Streisand effect and people looking much closer at this.

Frick. My boss just told me to go ask everybody's vaccination status and be ready to let the ones who aren't vaccinated go. I'm not vaccinated. We're a short term project so everybody's contracts were signed in the last couple weeks and didn't say anything about Covid. Boss is in Canada and just assumes everyone in LA is has to show vaccine cards for everything. Anybody got legal deets I can throw at this problem to make it go away? This is far and away not part of my job description. I'm a techhead, and they just have no clue what my job is so they throw everything at me.

good chance this is an extremely bad idea but i'd just lie and say "yeah everyone is vaccinated" without bothering to actually check

I posted this in another thread but I should post it here:

Search the web for something like "Request for Religious Accommodation Vaccine." It's related to the person's personal beliefs, so even if they're part of a denomination that doesn't have rules about it, the denomination doesn't matter. It's the personal belief. So find a passage or two in the Bible and quote that. Or some Buddhist text if you are worried about looking like a fundie. Don't mention the denomination if it isn't one of the very few that helps. So like don't say Catholic since that will just give them something to give you trouble about since the Pope wants you to get vaccinated, etc.

Don't mention anything medical, like why you have concerns about it medically. Only religious.

Keep it short, like 3 paragraphs.

They can't ask for your pastor's note (correction: they can ask but not require). It's about your personal belief.

It's a federal law. Some companies and government branches, and California say they won't take religious exemptions but you really probably have a case since it's a federal law and it isn't up them.

Edit: I used to have a link for some guy in the PNW who was Christian and helped people figure out how to write their requests over zoom for a fee but I can't find it again...

All the comments are already calling it out. I can't see even a single one standing up for the geriatric. One of the comments called it "Ratatouille 2." :story:
That is a fucking insult to Ratatouille, which is the best movie pixar ever made.

I would trust Remy before I would trust Faucci.

There are medical practitioners in Australia who are arguing that no one should receive a medical exemption from the vaccines, not a single person.
It's not just the land down under, we're seeing it all over the place.
To get a travel exemption you need to prove some kind of urgent reason to leave the country, e.g. an overseas family member suffering a severe illness, or else be rich and connected, a sports ball player or a celebrity (then you'll get one automatically).
Here are Wash and Smash LLC we have a simple philosophy: "If it can't be cleaned, it can be destroyed." In this spirit, I am pleased to announce our new program: "Adopt an Aussie". That's right, you too can now adopt the great-grandchild of a convict for all your destruction needs, and they'll have an excuse to flee the country! It's a win-win for everyone!
@Drain Todger and anyone who wants to answer.

Let's say this is as bad as you think it is minus the brain control aspect. How bad does this situation get, what does it look like?
@Drain Todger and @borsabil have already covered the bulk of it, but consider too the smaller, compounding effects of this shit on daily life? For how many people will something like a busybody at the gym scolding them about their mask be the final straw? Or the people who will die because someone in the car next to them had some kind of flare-up while behind the wheel?

Project Kiwiham time. You have all the power in this situation, and you can be a hero, you just gotta figure out how to play your cards right.

Found this one about two weeks back:

Some other things to bring up to your boss:
  • "I do not have legal protections should an employee choose to sue me personally for requesting this information, as it is protected health information in the United States."
  • "To my understanding, our company does not provide any sort of coverage for side-effects of the vaccine, nor are we legally protected."
  • "If we provide this inforamtion to the Canadian branch, we a would technically be providing health data internationally."

antibodies (and possibly interferons)
This jogged my memory about something I posted about months ago, that seems to have only gained in legitimacy/confirmation since then: infection with HRV (human rhinovirus) "blocks" SARS-CoV-2. The lockdown/social-distancing/masking measures have prevented HRV from being as widespread and prevalent as it typically is. I can't think too deeply about it without getting angry.

Found it! It was someone in California so I was searching the wrong thing. I haven't used this, but the site is super upbeat about it working so it's good to read for inspiration at the very least:
