Twitch has been compromised

Nah, that's about as good as you're going to get for that kind of query. Dynamo would be fucking awful for this, as it looks like they're doing relatively complex queries with presumably normalized data. Not dynamo's strongsuit.

It might look ugly, but the optimization should be entirely handled via the planner. Good sql is deadass simple sql.
Maybe I'm dumb, but you could keep the bad words list in a more sensible place and easily generate a query on the fly in the code.

Admit it, you just want Tay 2.0
She tried to warn us and we didn't listen (:_(

DynamoDB is a bit of a mess and I feel like a GSI for usernames would be in the terabytes (this is where we get into the part where the costs aren't practical). I'm guessing nobody bothers to fix this shit because they don't have the time to fix this shit because of mismanagement.
No gsi for usernames, just handle validation on account creation. Run a batch process to reconcile the gamer words if the list changes. I wonder if twitch is running a ton of old pre amazon shit still.

What the fuck, 200k+/month for Hasan. Maybe he could afford to buy someone else a nice house
Ive always been curious about his friend BadBunny. Shes an "ex right wing" socialist but and has gone on rants about abolishing money entirely because even working for your parents or doing chores is slavery, but Ive always suspected that being from Seattle and having gone to some masters program for epidemiology or virology or some shit but dropped out halfway through to stream, she might stand to inherit a bit of land and probably some cash, but Ive also suspected she owns her condo or whatver, and has some passive investment property or whatever already lined up in Seattle. Seattle isnt cheap and she lives in some downtown apartment from what I remember watching her stream the riots.
Wonder if they did their taxes correctly. IRS saga anytime soon? Dunno how tax works in the states but isn't it all self reported? I'd hope with that amount coming in they have an accountant but....
That type of shit among other things is why Biden is robably gonna push that "no cash, banks report all money deposited or withdrawn on accounts with over 600 dollars" shit, and while I think most people that rich are using tax loopholes anyway and it wont change shit, I also thnk that the bigger streamers are probably going ahead and doing everything above board. Half of them, like Amoranth live in states that dont have state income tax.
Nah, this is the result of hooking up corporate servers to the Internet so employees can work remotely via their virus ridden gaming laptops. The reason people went to offices is most of the data on the servers was on a semi-closed corporate intranet and that's if the servers in the building were even hooked up to any larger network specifically to make things like this less likely.

It was all done fast and security wasn't a priority.
It didnt really make much of a difference because I remember a bunch of multi-corporation-ransomware attacks at like hospitals and banks and shit because some boomer would check their email and see "Hey weve noticed suspicious activity of someone trying to log into your blacked.com account from this network, click here to secure your account!" and click it or some shit apparently.
What the hell is this about a Steam competitor? Are they going to require that games you stream on Twitch be launched through that?
They already had it, for Minecraft at least. For modpacks, which is what most people are streaming, they all have their own proprietary launcher, there was Technic, then there was FtB which became Twitch Launcher, which now became the Curseforge/Overwolf launcher, its kind of fucking retarded and I hate it.
This guy convinces his autistic, low IQ audience full of minors he lives in his parent's basement and brings up trauma for no reason to grift more money.
To be fair to him, after taxes, that probably isnt going that far if hes renting/buying in NYC even if its Staten Island. That said, like Vinny, I dont think he/his family was ever bad off, I believe their story is that both of them went to a private Catholic school and again I imagine both of them would probably stand to inherit whatever property they have in NYC. I believe Vinny hinted early on that he actually had people who worked in Wall Street at a level enough to get him a job working with them no strings attached, and he kind of left it to stream.

I also think Mike was living with his girlfriend or whatever so combined theyre probably living a comfortable life but not enough so that they can throw money around.
summit took close to $6 million.
I actually stopped watching them all regularly, what is Summit in regards to him and Vinesauce.

Eh, if you're working in a team, it depends. Clarity should always trump limiting verbosity, and depending how funky the rest of the query is, I'd rather have an ugly query over a cleaner one that I have to check 3 different files to figure out what it does.

It would be slightly less readable, but easier to maintain and add new no-no words of a month. Unless they generated this query with some script and put it there.
But yeah, matter of preference, it's a nitpick

given that The Fappening literally happened because iCloud had zero effective protection against basic brute force attacks, I'm not sure whether to bet that Apple hastily papered that up and still has egregious security gaps all over their services, or that they took the nuclear approach and actually dumped a significant amount of money into hardening their platforms to ensure it wouldn't be a problem again
They made most if not all accounts that are made now using two factor authentication by default as their solution.

It is pretty shocking because I do feel like critikal is not the pull he was many years ago when he did things with Criken and Vinny for example, or even the earlier JACK podcasts. Ill watch his one-offs in YouTube, that's about it.
Once again another part of the internet has been co-opted by people who want to pay to stare at tits and then proceeded to ruin the fuck out of it.

I honestly expected Criken to be in the same ballpark as Tomato but it doesn't seem to be the case. Perhaps Criken still makes more off of Youtube than he does with Twitch.
Yeah I was expecting Criken to be above him but also Criken has been on holiday recently so that may have impacted his latest earnings.

And of course they don't support any 2FA client except their own Apple devices. I don't even own a Macbook anymore.

Criken also probably earns quite a bit from the collabs he does with Jerma and the like.

No no names on twitch
Yet a HailHydra88 exists, curious
