Yes, Guam is closer but still WAY too distant to be any consideration in the case of an attack on Taiwan. Philippines or Japan are the only allied countries close enough.

Japan has plenty of US bases already, the Philippines no longer does after a volcano coomed all over both the Air Force and Navy bases there and the Philippine government decided they didn't really want us there anymore in the 90s. US troops have been back lately but not in the numbers they used to be. Guam hosts strategic bombers so it does make sense to keep them a bit of a distance from the front line of a US-China war in the Pacific.

It was me. Specifically, I pointed out that if I were to aim for a demographic which would have the absolute lowest chance of being caught in any form of voter fraud it would be:
1: White (Majority race, therefore sheer numbers)
2: Male (Lower rates of voting than female)
3: Lower-income/college students (Lowest voter turnout)


And wow, look what fits perfectly with the totally legitimate election and the -one- demographic that Biden gained in.

To be fair, I also think a lot of actual white male voters preferred Trump to Hillary.

China has conventional warhead options on some of their Dong Feng ballistic missiles, including their much hyped hypersonic missiles. The Saudis actually purchased some years ago with conventional warheads which tells me they either plan to use them conventionally or they have their own nukes or the ability to rapidly acquire them kept very secretly. It's true they haven't been tested on the battlefield, and neither has the Chinese army since their own little Vietnamese misadventure so a Taiwan war would be their crucible. Iron Dome probably isn't going to work well against actual ballistic missiles so I'm guessing it'd be more for if a Chinese attack sub managed to slip through and unload a bunch of cruise missiles at Guam.

Its act a pretty good way to funnel bribe money. Art doesn’t have a defined value and if you want to funnel some money to a politicians family under the table, you overvalue the art and the money goes to the politician, the painting goes into the garage and no one is the wiser.

I was under the impression that Iron Dome was only effective against unguided rockets and that we used the Phalanx gun for missile defense.
