He doesn't even have the credentials/experience to get a job that could pay for the lifestyle he lives now, regardless of his completely ruined reputation and detractor following. A bachelors in business from the 1990s is completely useless on its own, with no work experience or connections.

We already know his CPM and his average YT income per month just from views. Piece of Peace has been tracking that. The CPM is 2.2 and even that is considered a conservative estimate. From his views he's making $1,200 to $1,800 a month.

I agree that his degree is as worthless as the paper it's printed on. However his YouTube channel could've been useful as experience for getting a job had he been competent at it. It'd be the evident mismanagement of his finances and the toxic reputation that would ruin it for him.
I seriously doubt "I ran a successful YouTube channel" would be enough to get him into a position with an earning potential in the 6 figure range. And even if he could get the job, I also seriously doubt he would be competent enough to hold onto it for very long. He lacks critical thinking skills and is toxic as all hell to everyone he comes into contact with, even to people with power over him. He's never been able to hold down a job despite being employed in so many different places.
It's my working theory, as others have stated on here as well, that Phil is some kind of autism magnet. Certain characters, shows and fandoms are known to attract high-functioning autists like flies to shit. Think furries, Sonic the Hedgehog and MLP. Something about Phil's demeanor really attracts an audience with like zero ability to detect assholery or deception, eg. autists.

People find it nice when their favorite content creators are successful and aren't struggling. These content creators will stick around and have a thriving community around them. That being said, I have no idea why anybody would want DSP to stick around unironically.

There are seven billion people on this planet. DSP only needs to find 3 or 4 of them with disposable income who are more pathetic than he is.
