Cases like Holobass is a great reminder that if you're pursuing any creative endeavors, never:He could have made a career out of it if he wasnt a greedy retard. Tons of hololive fanartists are getting great work, bunch of them becoming mamas and papas of vtubers themselves. He could have been composing and remixing BGMs for holomemes and other vtubers, perhaps help on original songs, maybe even get picked up for some indie games.
fucking waste

Twitter and Something Awful going to be so butthurt over the thumbnailGura posted the Shion collab link, just under four hours.
As the residential Shannon simp, do you feel like it's more likely that she's actually going to push forward with her lore (maybe not to Mayuzumi's extent, but still), or that it's another case of Ninisani pushing lore onto someone for them to sweep it under the rug within a month? I feel like she's got something going with this, and she totally seems capable of carrying it.Enna was the real starlet, though. I've loved Shannon's singing for years but also her dry and witty humour on full display really sold her imo.
Someone mentioned her Akiko Shikata style, and if her love for Umineko wasn't a sign enough, she has already covered the Akatsuki no Yona OP as Shannon. Shikata is someone she adores.
That was such a nice stream, I hope for many clips. Also can't wait for Roboco's reactionThoughful tako goes on an elytra-hunting trip and adds enchantments just to help a molten, high-spec senpai ft. BEEG Kami-Sana the dragon.

Yeah totally possible Nina turns out fine, I genuinely hope she does because I'd rather the EN scene (at least at hololive and Nijisanji) be spared from actual shitstorms. Not gonna lie fellas, all the 'honey' from Nina filters the life out of me and I hope it's an ironic/character thing she ends up dropping.
But I will come to the defense of Monkeyism just a little because I dug up her old Reddit and discovered that
A) She was a Hololive/Nijisanji fan for a while, and flirted with the idea of becoming a Hololive meme content creator. She also wants to see more Male V-Tubers which implies to me at least that she watches NijiJP (she was responding directly to Riku Tazumi in the teaser post that would later become the LazuLight announcement).
B) She was already creating 'Mommy ASMR' content and networking with a lot of small Indies.
So the clip of her saying that she made a L2D model to get away with saying things to chat feels more like she's being ironic about the ordeal rather than offering a serious answer 'I can grill you now and you'll forgive me because I'm an anime girl'. I don't know what kind of relationship she had with her fans or what banter was 'normal' so I can't attest to the clip of her berating a critic in her chat being out of context or a gamer moment.
She DID show up pre-L2D on a Twitch panel about 'diversity in streaming' but I haven't watched it, and Dokibird was also very heavy on Redditposting about 'more women in the competitive FPS scene' that she hasn't touched since becoming Selen, so I'm not all that concerned.
I think a lot of the negativity surrounding her is based on the fact that /vt/ are retards who tried to scout her an hour before debut, and the fact she has a more 'lively' past life than the others.
With that out of the way, I did not like Nina's debut even though her almost native Russian activated chimp neurons I didn't know I had.
Reimu was fine, a good singer with a lot of language control. She likes Horror so I'm on board with watching her often.
Millie threw her entire Lyrica SC donation budget into providing us two OG lore songs and you can just tell she's seasoned at what she does. Lyrica is Lyrica, and Lyrica is a maniac.
Enna was the real starlet, though. I've loved Shannon's singing for years but also her dry and witty humour on full display really sold her imo.

All in all I'm happy with them. Enna and Millie will clearly be the backbone of the group for the other two and that's okay. Watching Obsydia host the event made me realise it's going to be night and day with group synergy a couple months down the line.
I'm referring more to the overall edgy lore; I guess that would make sense, but in a way it kinda seems like she's putting a lot more into it than someone with that mindset/preference would normally be. Then again, debuts are generally pretty meaningless in the long run, so who knows how it'll actually turn out.I think her multiple voices are something she's totally keen on continuing and isn't a result of anyone pushing their lore on her.
In general, Shannon is not good at being anyone but herself, and she prefers V-Tubers that aren't acting out a character (she considers Lyrica to just be an anime version of the real person behind it) which is what made me start to question her being Nina based on her Twitter posts.
So, if you're referring to all the voices then no, that's very much just Shannon trying something new now she has a bigger audience (it would be awkward to imitate chat when her old chat was moving so slow she could read everything, for example).

I can only imagine how much her back hurts.
