To be fair, Hasan is keeping to his word that reading theory is unnecessary because if he had actually read theory, he would have come across this quote by Marx:
As far as I can tell, the only people who actually support gun control are liberals and revolutionaries who have just seized control/communist countries. Everyone else essentially recognizes the need for the population to be armed. The founding fathers really fucked over the liberals by making the right to resist government tyranny a basic human right. As an aside, Australia has no Bill of Rights declaring what basic human rights people have there. They only have laws that declare what human rights Australians should expect but the laws themselves leave it up to the government to decide what a reasonable limitation would be and these laws aren't entrenched so they can be repealed at any time. Holding them up as an example for anything remotely related to the rights of people is retarded at best.
