Creative works you enjoyed until politics happened - "How politics made me hate Welcome to Nightvale and other things"

Comics are the primal example, I stopped caring about them when they were trying both to sell Miles Morales as being the "best spidey to ever exist", the Trump MODOK and Broly She-Hulk. Ah, and don't get me started on Vampirella being "de-sexualized". With the constant butthurt on BHNA's fandom and twitter threads about "female objectification in anime and manga is bad: an obligatory thread #8503948534098539", I fear weebshit and waifushit goes into the same ways.

Makes me think on how dumbed down the tabletop communities have become. Like, they survived the satanic panic in the 1980's but a bunch of people who should never left Tumblr in the first place have them all in a leash.
Oh it's coming. You're seeing more and more westernized prying into the weebosphere, and more corporate mandates from slantland to try and be woke. It's gonna suck.

As for why tabletop went that way? It's simple. They wanted to chase pussy.

I also remembered hearing about Maro getting salty, when some people would nickname the neo-Planeswalkers as the Jacetice League, even though it is a very fitting name for that group.
Oh yeah, Maro got super assblasted that people didn't like the Gatewatch.

Of course if it had been better written then people wouldn't have hated it as much, it is really amazing how every time WOTC has something people like going for them in recent years they manage to somehow either drive it into the ground or absolutely ruin it.

Chad Jace at the end of Ixalan : "Now that I have all of my memories and my full Mind Magic I am going to clean my Room(ravnica) and get a real girlfriend(Vraska), not simp after Liliana"

Virgin Jace at the end of War of the Spark: "Screw Ravnica and Gorgan Assassin Waifu and the group I helped Found..I am Going somewhere Random."

Also, didn't Maro also get salty when WotC lowered his control of the Weatherlight Saga Lore? IIRC, he was going to have Sisay have more of a role on it, but with the reduction of his control, Gerrard had a bigger role. And I'm not sure why Maro complained about that, given that Sisay was one of the few people (including Squee, Tahngarth, and Orim) that survived the Phyrexian Invasion, when Yawgmoth was finally put to rest for good (I think), as Gerrard went out with a literal bang.

On the topic of the card art design, does WotC still depict major lore events in card art? Today's cards seem to be lacking that factor, compared to cards in the past such as Obliterate, Terminate, Vindicate, and Anguished Unmaking.

Possibly the newer generation of fans that are a bunch of woke genderblobs that ship blackwashed trans Griffith with blackwashed Guts. They also try to code Casca as black cause of her tanned skin when she's literally based off of Japanese tomboys who tanned from swimming a lot (Kentaro's preference at the time). But any character that's a shade darker than paper white magically becomes Sub Saharan-African.

Yes they do, They used to get watermarks for a couple of years but they apparently stopped.

The number also varies set by set.

The Big Bang Theory

My generation has a habit of cancelling anything remotely funny or politically incorrect :/
I still enjoy it though. Gen Z can fuck off.

Isn't that show about a couple of socially awkward, autistic faggots, living together, while working with jews on how to be the biggest pansy?

How can that be more woke?

Idk I watched a re run a while back and they literally made the faggot Indian guy one of the most egregious gay stereotypes I've seen in a long time complete with a lisp, purse, and little foofy Paris Hilton dog.

There was a fat girl joke too. Don't get me wrong it's unfunny normie trash but I didn't see a sjw conspiracy in the episodes I watched.

Believe it or not, Raj was pretty consistently depicted as just being a foppish straight guy, with a few jokes thrown around about his campy demeanor. Which was probably a bit funnier than just making him a full-blown gay joke.

The big bang theory had jokes?
The only funny thing to come out of that show were the /tv/ troll comics.

What's this thread about again? I got distracted.

Thread tax : Mock the week became way too politically correct, and was the reason Frankie Boyle told the BBC to get tae fuck.

On season 3 episode 4 one of the 'what is the question?' scenes (T.P.N.S.) Frankie says "Tony Pulls Nigga Shit" while sat 2 chairs away from Gina Yashere and nobody cares. A few seasons later and Frankie was getting censored left, right and centre, so he quit. Then the show went to shit and became too softy softy, afraid of having another Frankie on their hands.

It's a shame because his joke about the Queen "My pussy is so old, that it's haunted" and "Dear Point of View, after watching Queer Eye I decided to get some gay friends to give me fashion advice. Instead, they fucked me" are two of the best told jokes on TV. The POV is perfect because of the use of intonation and expression. The guy really knew how to set up a joke.

I don't know, Judy Greer got down to her under crackers too and was a nympho. Agree about Melissa Rauch being hotter though.

'I'd love a gay dad, you know when kids are like 'My dad would batter your dad' and all that? Well I could turn around and reply 'Well my dad would shag your dad, and your dad would love it'.'

I didn't know Judy Greer was in it? She's both my favourite real (her) and fictional (Cheryl from archer) TV character. She's a dirty little slut.

“Megrahi is really reformed and adapting to the Scottish way of life — living in a tent addicted to heroin.”

I probably bungled that Frankie quote — I think that was from the later episodes of Mock the Week. One of the few British shows you used to get entirely on YouTube in the states (before they were copyright striked).
