The boards that post links to news articles (I think) were causing trouble with search engines. They got locked behind log ins, then in the heated energy of a contentious election year, people started getting really mad about neg-rating. We're lucky Null didn't nuke A&N, Deep Thoughts, and The Happening off the site. Instead we got restricted ratings, personally I like the disagree rating a lot.

Any burger your add a bunch of shit to is a bad burger. Modern pop culinary depreciation has turned burgers into wings. Shit smeared with as much over whelming flavor as possible so you gobble down shitty cuts packed with a ton of fat. Get a good lean ground, I like ground sirloin. Mix in an egg yolk and a little seasoning before forming the patty. It on a nice toasted bun that isn't just white bread, with maybe a good slice of cheese. Alternatively, feta and a pita bread is a great combo too. Veggies to taste, but I think they detract, especially raw onions.

A good burger is one with lots of shit on it. Grilled onions, mushrooms, pickles, mustard, mayo, and jalapenos. As for cheese, any good melting one will work just fine.

I stuff the paddy with feta and blue cheese and then smoke it for an hour or so over hickory at about 225.

Everything else (except for the jalapenos) I agree with.

Any sufficiently melty cheese is fine. Why stick to one variety?

For me the best burger consists of 2 patties, 2 strips of bacon halved, and cheese on both patties. Pile it all together and put extra pickles on top, and mayo on both buns + mustard on the bottom bun. You need the acid from the pickles and mustard to cut through all the fat on the burger.
